What People are saying

Hideous!

Freebs_Lambon 07/05/2016 20:19

I travel a lot and this hotel is really the worst place I have ever been. On arrival to my room I found a cockroach on my pillow. I pulled back the cover and 5 of them were under the blanket and scattered all over the place. I grabbed my phone to take a photo which sadly only captured one of them. It took some time at reception to get a refund, I then stayed in a much nicer hotel at $10 less!

Good deal

this hotel i couldn't say it was bad as i booked it and i know it is a 3 star or less the hotel the best thing in is the location and price , i wouldn't recommend it for families but in the end if you are looking for something low price and a place to sleep , then the choice would be good for you

Shocking!

A dreadful hotel!

Reception - For a supposed international hotel very few staff speak any language but Arabic. However they try hard to welcome you. There are too many staff just standing listening to what is being discussed - porters etc. It becomes something of a TV soap opera.

Portering / Concierge Service - Only if they think there is a good tip for them!

Rooms - Tiny! Décor terrible. The finishing to all the decoration looks like it was done by a 5 year old on drugs! Burn holes in bed cover. Threadbare and torn linen on beds. Beds extremely uncomfortable. A/C sounds like a tractor. Furniture looks like it came from a second hand shop. Side view of corniche The other side looked onto a rooftop next to the hotel - complete with sheep and chickens! Fridge with nothing in it! No information pack, no tea or coffee facilities, not even tissues! Not at all welcoming! Constant noise from the main road and the "boy" racers which means all Egyptian drivers.

Bathroom - The smallest I have ever seen. You need to be a contortionist to dry yourself. Broken and cracked tiling everywhere. No shower curtain so floor becomes flooded. The water at best was tepid, more often cold. Showerhead fell off several times.

Dining Area - No A/C, just fans which are totally useless. Very limited menu and poor hygiene standards. Several times I noticed staff drop cutlery on the floor, only to pick it up and put into the rest without washing it. Breakfast just about acceptable but I was never offered a menu or a choice.

Housekeeping - beware!!! This hotel operates the opposite way to any other hotel I have ever been in. Apparently if you don't leave your room key at reception it means you don't want your room cleaned??? Haphazard at the best of times. But the housekeeping staff certainly know how to make a lot of noise outside the room. The firefighting equipment consists of sand buckets in the corridors.

All in all the owners of this hotel should be shot. They force their staff, who in general try very hard - especially Mohammed in reception - to operate in a dreadful situation. For goodness sake they don't even accept Visa cards! The only redeeming factors are the reception staff and the good wi fi connection.

NEVER AGAIN!

Good deal

The hotel is a 3-star hotel yet not very low or bad in fact even much better than the 3-star hotel i have been at in Turkey. let us start with the check-in and reception guys who, in spite of their being not as professional as the 5-star hotel reception guys were still very good and trying to be attentive and helpful. The check-in process was rather easy and smooth. The reception is small yet not bad. The room had a wonderful sea-side view, it was small and humble but not dirty. The bathroom however was veryyyyyyyyyyyy small the smallest I have ever seen and its amenities are very humble but let us remember it is a 3-star hotel in Alexandria not Sharm or Hurghada. The breakfast was good simple but good and the room services was also good. I ordered dinner once in the room and it was very nice so you can eat in the hotel and trust the quality of their food. The restaurant view is very nice. All in all with some maintenance and more luxury the hotel can be really very good however i still recommend it for families.

The pro photos look much better than the reality is. Best to be said is the view from small balcony, and we did not have bedbugs. But yes, a cockroach. Bed linens appeared clean but full of holes. No shower curtain, scummy wash basin, dirt marks on walls. unclean. The lobby was presentable and checkin checkout staff were competent. housekeeping staff 'veiled' but apparently not very active in their jobs. Despite view, proximity to street made it very noisy. Breakfast was acceptable. Unless you are on an extreme budget, I agree with reviewers who say: avoid.
