Exercise caution in front of ESJ Azul area
travelgueen7593on 29/08/2017 02:37I stayed at the ESJ Azul and the Hilton- both on the beach next to one another - but the difference in 200 feet was immeasurable. Hilton also known as El San Juan Hotel has security on the beach and acts like they mean business and the locals do not bother you. While staying though at ESJ Azul the locals not only felt brazen enough to sit on my chair while I went in to get a snack or use the restroom they had the audacity to use my towel! When asking for assistance from the staff at ESJ Azul I got nothing...even had a hard time exchanging the wet towel for a dry one. Their security is INSIDE the fence not on the beach and the "chairs" are farmed out to another company and he is always resting back in the shade and doesn't help either. So, this beach is next to the street access for locals so just be careful. I often walked down to the Courtyard by Marriott or the Ritz and used that beach with just a towel - no chair.
Calm Water
Nadav228on 12/08/2017 19:18This beach is ideal for for families. The water is calm and the environment is safe. We walked to this beach and enjoyed the water.
Beautiful scenery, blowing wind and rough water
ekkarkoskion 10/08/2017 22:13Went there around 11 am. The weather was a little cloudy but that changed every 5 minutes rotating between sun and clouds. The water was a little rough for my taste but then again we were on the north side of the island, so that is to be expected. The sand was soft and not a lot of people out; then again it was a Wednesday. Definitely a great place to chill and catch some rays when the sun is out.
Great Getaway
Viviana Fon 03/08/2017 22:32Went down to Carolina Beach for a family reunion. We had a great time. The beach was clean and the water was really warm. The waves were fun to jump in and boogie board.
Beautiful, big and with a lot of "ambiente"
