Good friendly hotel
amack70on 11/06/2017 20:35This hotel is only a couple of miles from Derby, on a good route, albeit a little "detached", ie nowhere much to go for a stroll and not easy to walk to nearby facilities. All staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. A shame that the swimming pool was being upgraded so out of action, which we didn't know about, (but the hotel may have told the company we were travelling with who didn't pass on the information). The standard of meals was good. Our room with bathroom and balcony was large, everywhere was very clean. Replenishment of toiletries and towels a little erratic, but that was a minor problem. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Hotel a bit tired...but good service
Sir_Charles_Lemonon 10/06/2017 18:07Business trip. Room was a bit tired but very clean. Water pressure in shower very poor. A nice full English breakfast & plenty of other choice. Not the best value for money for the standards compared to other well known hotel chains. The staff were very friendly & attentive though. Generally good customer service.

Manjit Oon 08/06/2017 23:07There have recently been new staff recruits showing enthusiasm with great ideas to improving gym facilities and engagement with its members.
In particular Dan who has just started and come with a wealth of experience with a track record including being a semi professional footballer and semi pro rugby player.
He has been very helpful and supported me through a personalised session which was fantastic just what I needed.
I can't wait for the the next training session a push was just what I needed.
I recommend members to grab an opportunity for to improve their personal health goals.

lisa kon 07/06/2017 16:05The hotel wasn't great but what made our visit was the lovely young Italian man behind the bar (Loris) nothing was to much trouble for him and he always made us laugh.
The food in the restaurant was of a high standard but the hotel is looking a little tired now.
Hallmark Hotel Derby Mickleover Court
mannagh23on 07/06/2017 08:01We arrived to the hotel to be greeted by friendly and helpful receptionist team, we were then made aware that the pool was unfortunately unavailable. This was disappointing as this was a key reason for selecting this hotel. Due to this inconvenience we were provided with a room upgrade to a wonderful suite. We decided to make full use of the remaining facilities mainly the gym. We were once again greeted with a friendly welcome and the staff could not have been more helpful especially Dan who enabled us to make full use of the somewhat small sized gym, he identified our goals looked after us after each workout and made us both generally feel special, this really helped compensate for the swimming pool. We also had dinner and breakfast included in our deal and there were certainly no complaints over variety or quality of the food. With a working pool and a larger gym I could not fault this hotel, it's a credit to the staff. Would definitely recommend.
