Great location for train travel
Susan Son 14/08/2017 13:48We picked the hotel initially for it's location to the train station. It is literally right across the street. The front desk staff was very nice. They all spoke English. Our room was very good except the AC in the building was not turned on yet. It was hot outside. The window in the room was small so opening it didn't help much. The next day we had AC! The hotel has a buffet breakfast which was very good. There is a restaurant but it was closed at the time for renovations. There are many restaurants nearby.
Good location, usual great service
Willy Bon 22/07/2017 20:48Mercure is more and more becoming the choise brand in the midsegment of the Accor hotel group ( a group controlling the no frills F1, the 3 Ibis brands, Novotel, Sofitel and Le Meridien) ecplipsing the once omnipresent Novotel brand of the same group. Newer, more dynamic and with a great hospitality and service these hotels are found in the suburbs as well as in the city centers. This one is in the centre of Cmambéry opposite the railway station. The long distance bus station is one block away at the back of the hotel. Great rooms with all amenities, fridge, flat screen, coffee makers and bathrobes (in the comfort rooms it is a nespresso machine with the original capsules. Great place to stay if you are in Chambéry.

Fernando Mon 20/07/2017 19:17People in the hospitality business make a difference.The staff at this hotel are a perfect example of this.Positive attitude and willingness to serve and help describes what We experienced from them during our short stay at this Mercure hotel.Rooms were good, quiet regardless of its location opposite the train station.Great shower.Breakfast was very good, great variety and very well set up.It takes 5 minutes to walk to the old town that can actually be visited in less than 90 minutes. Some very nice gardens also at walking distance with a great skateboarding park .
Perfect location for train, city center
Steve Mon 20/07/2017 09:26We stayed two nights to watch the finish of Stage 9 of the 2017 Tour de France - this hotel, located across from the train station was an easy walk to that venue as well as the downtown area and the old town. Hotel itself was modern, similar to Mercures we've stayed in before. Pet friendly, underground parking. Room was average size, only detraction was a fairly small window (all rooms appeared from the outside to have this problem): large external wall, but small window for some reason - but it did open all the way if you wanted fresh air. Staff was very welcoming and helpful - and spoke English. Would probably stay in the same hotel again.

רמי רon 15/07/2017 19:39Arrived to the hotel late at night after a flight to Geneva on my way to Sestrier (half way).
The hotel has a private parking, the lobby is small and the bar is also small but the staff was so friendly, they open the bar specially for us, the room was very nice, the breakfast was simple but good.
