Clean, good breakfast & good location
mr-boogieon 20/08/2017 20:28We have been there for one night and had enough time to visit the new fitness & Spa area (which is very nice).
Rooms are standard Mercure, clean and functional.
Service was good and very friendly.
Breakfast on Sunday was very good.
Location is fantastic: you do not need a car because everything important is only some minutes away by foot.
Nice hotel but only average for a Mercure
PurplishCaton 16/08/2017 20:24This is a nice hotel, but I do too many Mercure hotels to rate it anything but average. There are certainly many good points though:
- close to the city center and many restaurants
- parking is shared with the shopping center and it's comfortably big
- nice breakfast (all Mercure hotels have this actually) and nice people at breakfast
- we had a family room for four people and there's a door in between the two parts of the room, which was comfortable for our kids and us :)
However, the hotel feels dated compared to other Mercure hotels and the guy at the front desk who checked us in definitely didn't have much fun at his job. That can be a one of thing of course, but still.
On another note, my kids where very happy with the little cuddly animal they received :)

tom222eeon 02/04/2017 22:42Just stayed for one night .The hotel is in the town centre within walking distance to the shops and restaurants.The parking is big and safe.The room was comfortable and very clean.Top breakfast,one of the best we had.Overall very good experience

DCHPORTVENDRESon 22/03/2017 13:17While travelling around Westphalia by train we choose Hamm as a destination primarily because it is an important rail transport hub that is well integrated into the Deutsche Bahn system. The German ICE train is clean, classy and acclaimed not only for its speed, but for it's high tech specifications, reliability and its slick ergonomics. It is perfect for commuting around Germany giving the passenger first class views of the very diverse regional landscapes in a relaxing fashion. It is difficult to compare it with the TGV, France's high speed rail service, they are both a pleasure to travel on and they safely, quickly and comfortably whisk one from A to B. I marginally prefer travelling on the sleek TGV trains probably because I find them a little more user friendly though maybe they are not as luxurious as the ICE. The Mercure is a mere five minute stroll away from the impressive Hamm station. Reception staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are spacious with a good international tv service, breakfast is superior to the average hotel fare, the city centre is nearby and the whole package is simply great value for money. We found the bar and lobby area relaxing and conducive to enjoying a light supper and to sipping a few local beers the night before we headed off to Dusseldorf on a regional train which was also a pleasant rail experience. Prost!

franl929on 16/03/2017 09:18Nice hotel in the center of the city. Heated garage for the car connected with lift to the hotel, extra 7€ but worth it. Great free buffet breakfast open very early in the morning. Spacious and clean rooms with good beds. Mostly very quiet compared to some other hotels so you can catch some quality sleep.
