Lovely property but need to improve on food
Aakash Son 27/08/2017 16:18Lovely property to stay, just with 9 cottages it's great place to stay... property is very cozy place to stay, however resort needs to do some work on its cottages given they are made of wood it becomes bit moist and it needs maintenance, staff is very good and supportive, food again needs to have variety, resort could be full five if improved on food and maintenance in room. Overall great place to stay and can be visited. At the end loved the place with some improvements
A serene weekend getaway
bombasticbraton 05/08/2017 12:40My wife and I were looking for a serene getaway from our busy lives in Bangalore when we came across Meriyanda Resorts on our google search. The beautiful music of the birds chirping on the resort’s internet page amidst photographs of the resort immediately clicked with us, and we decided that was where we wanted to go :)
We booked a valley view room for 2 nights in July 2017. The view from the room was breathtaking, with tall trees and greenery all around, and birds chirping and insects creaking. The meals were freshly made and delicious, quite a feast! We did not ask for any particular cuisine as such and just requested the chef to cook whatever he felt like, and boy did he manage to (pleasantly) surprise us meal after meal!
We had a guided tour of the coffee plantation and plucked a couple of sweet tasting oranges from the trees. But the highlight was the stream with a tree right in the middle of it (a beautiful place for photography). It was the best experience we could have had with nature.
There is no mobile connectivity there, which made our stay even better. There could be power cuts, however that did not bother us as the weather was quite pleasant. The best part was that we were the only guests during our stay there and were well pampered by the staff. We definitely got what we were looking for that weekend and the memories will last a lifetime. Thank you Meriyanda!
Best vacation
Rashmi Jon 12/07/2017 13:41One of our friends recommended Meriyanda when we planned a trip. We had really great time, away from all the noise, gadgets (no phone connectivity, No TV and No wifi except the dining and reception area of Meriyanada ). It was one of the best experience in nature. The hospitality is amazing and food served is fresh, tasty. The staff at Meriyanda are very nice and helpful. Each cottage is private enough.
We will highly recommend Meriyanda to anyone.
Most Stunning Nature Lodge Stay!
Vanessa Don 10/07/2017 10:11Meriyanda was stumbled upon by chance when we were looking for a nature lodge stay on our spontaneous road trip and to be honest, we had such an amazing experience staying here.
It takes a while to reach here, unfortunately on our way there was mini land slide on the route, so we had to take the longer route around. None the less, when we got there, we were stunned. The property is quite big with enough to wander and trek about and give your leg muscles a work out, but the views and nature feels make up for all the sweat.
Their staff are warm, kind and extremely helpful with any questions and are ever ready to help in anyway to ensure your stay is well taken care of.
As a couple, we loved the privacy of our cottage, you can request for the one further in the forest, however remember that would mean you need to walk a little more to get there, but each cottage is private enough, very spacious, clean and just an amazing place to relax in once you're done with your days activities.
Your meals are served in the dinning room on order basis so no buffet, which I think is amazing as it's cooked fresh and the chef along with giving us amazing meals, made it a point to check with each guest on how they would like their food.
At night you have a mini campfire to lounge around and soak in all the fresh air and cuddle with your loved one - simply amazing!
Nearby you can opt to trek to the waterfalls, or get a ride. We opted to trek because once you get there, the dip in the earth pool is just the most relaxing (but it's an hour's walk).
Overall amazing location, stunning lodge, spectacular food and just the best staff. Would highly recommend a stay here if you're looking to just connect with nature and break away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
Most relaxing vacation. Beautiful cottages with awesome food and hospitality
pooja_rishion 18/06/2017 04:57Will highly recommend meriyanda to anyone. It was a fantastic stay. We started in kings villa which was really awesome. The food was to kill for. Each meal was delicious , freshly made, thoughtfully put together. I liked the fact that it was not a buffet. I think we all ended up eating more than we should have. Since it's a little in the interiors, it was very close to river and the waterfall. We had planned to go to dubaare and other places, but there were so many things to do with the kids too, that we stayed put in the property itself. Kids were happy just swinging, playing in the river( a bit rocky though).Didn't even ask for Tv 😊.And since there was no Airtel service, this was a detox, relaxing vacation.
The massages were good too. Wish they had a steam/ sauna room too.
A fun vacation. Will go back in a heartbeat.
