Won't go back to that hotel.
consternadoon 27/08/2016 12:42Let's start in positive way. I love Akyaka. The place it self is amazing, a bit crowded this year , but still so good.
We stayed in Mervehan Residence for first time and the last one. First of all they couldn't find our booking and excuse was -" we are not checking emails from booking" is it my problem? After 10-15 min. Young lady found it. She showed us a room on first floor ( windows are looking at breakfast area and basically everyone can see our room in side and what we are doing there). We booked a room for 7 nights. After 3 nights receptionist said to us that they are going to charge us extra, because we are delaying with check out. It was a shock. So we spend again some time at reception with explanations that we booked another 4 nights as well.
3. One day when we came home from sea side out room was locked from inside. To make long story short, door opening took 40 min and no one even offered to us tea.
4. Every morning before leaving the room we used to close balcony door, and every day when we were coming back it was open ( HSK used to clean ashtray on balcony) and + on our table we found rubbish from another room ( thank you very much)
5. Wi-Fi is not working. We been in the end on 3rd floor, router was just behind our door, but it's just not working, be prepared that on the breakfast area there is no wifi as well, only by the Bar and limited hours.
This place also have pluses- chef ( he is really good) and garden area, a lot of space and different areas.
I hope that owners will hire more professional people.
Lovely family run Turkish hotel
nw6on 26/09/2015 13:20Our second stay here and we again really enjoyed it. Good clean modern rooms although they could do with more wardrobe space; excellent breakfasts; and we really enjoyed that fact that there were mainly Turkish families staying there.
We had 2 evening meals here - one superb with lots of attention and good food, but the second not so good as the leading young man was away.
Lovely little hotel to stay a few days.
Nuket Won 16/07/2015 10:13Wonderful Little butique hotel, we stayed in a suite room. Decoration was very good, very comfortable bed. No wardrobe in the bedroom just a tall cupboard, you cannot hang anything long. Been told that this will change. In the lounge there was a brand new kitchenette, been told that will go and in its place there will be a wall unit with TV, luggage space etc. grounds were very beautiful, lots of different seating areas, very pretty. Very good swimming pool. We had an excellent breakfast next morning. Area is beautiful. Akyaka is a small tourist town. There are a few fish restautants by the river, very good. All in all great experience.
Great boutique hotel in Akyaka
Nursecat1on 28/05/2015 21:42My husband and I stayed 10 days at this hotel in Akyaka. Perfect choice for us. Perfect location for exploring. We had a room overlooking the reception and the pool to our right.
Nice sized bedroom, large living area/kitchen area. Nice bathroom with large shower. Balcony with furniture.
Very very clean. Lovely pool (although not large). Nice bar area. plenty of seating areas.
Lovely staff. Met some lovely people.
Downsides: No real storage in room...Had to put our clothes in the kitchen cupboards and drawers!
Not the best breakfast (We are not fussy). Slightly limited for me being vegetarian. Staff often eating breakfast as well in the same area.
We read lots of review about strictness of bringing in food and drink. Obviously, it is rude to do that around the pool but we bought in fruit and drinks ...Just discreetly!! No kettle in room but bought our travel kettle! We always find a way.
Would 100% stay here if visiting Akyaka again.
The staff were truly lovely
Jennifer Con 16/12/2014 23:42Long overdue review on our stay in August at this Hotel booked through "Windseekers" kite surfing holiday specialists. The staff were exceptional. Hasan (manager) could not do enough for us and his welcoming smile was always appreciated. Tanet,Ahmet,Mustafa,Fatma,Muttalie and Bahar's kindness and friendliness created A happy and relaxing atmosphere. This was an ideal place to chill after long days on the water. We often chose to eat at the hotel rather than go into the town. The food was fresh ,interesting and good value for money. Rooms with adjoining sitting area and balcony afforded plenty of space. Great end to holiday with staff creating an amazing complimentary fruit dessert for us. Thanks to all.Jenny and Steve.
