visited Velankani for pilgrimage and suggested by my friend MGM velankani for stay.I booked through phone and they quote me the price which was for my surprise is cheaper than of other hotels I got quoted. It was a villa with two rooms and one hall with two bed which is sufficient for six people. TV,fridge,A/C,COFFEE, water..... all facility was there. Bathroom were well maintained with two bathroom on the ground floor and one on 1st floor.Area is near to the church just 1.5km with plenty of vehicle available for travel and if required hotel will arrange the vehicle for a very nominal price.whole of velankani Area was little bit stinky but hotel staff attended the need immediately and provided with roomfreshner.Food was little bit costly but compared to the quality and service it is very Good. Many menu options not available still couple of items available.cost of the stay was reasonable with complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was buffet with good options and also available omlet, does, and your required breakfast with heot and cold beverage. I loved this place with children play area and also swimming pool. Swimming pool timing is from 7.30 am to 6pm which needs to be changed to at least 9pm.
I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Needs huge improvement but ok. It's the only decent accomodation in this town. Distant from the beach and the happening areas. More like a highway motel. Food quality is fine but not happy or satisfied.

Really Gone Downhill

I loved this place. It used to be where I stayed every time I visited Velankanni. This time I was really disappointed and disgusted. Upon entering my villa, there was trouble getting the AC to work. Likewise, the floors seemed dusty. However, the first thing I noticed when I always opened the front door was a NASTY smell from the downstairs bathroom. It made me want to throw up. It smelled like old urine... nasty. Likewise, the sheets were slightly dirty, and the walls had mismatching patches on them. It was disappointing how there was no TV in the master bedroom, and how the refrigerator was so tiny. I definitely won't be staying here next time I visit; it's really outdated.

A place I strongly recommend for its consistency in the following fields: reservation, food at the restaurant, room facility and the hospitality provided by the entire team. Well done just stayed a night again and enjoyed the experience. Tbanks

Comfortable Stay

I have been travelling crazy this month. My recent visit was to Velankanni Shrine. Every time we travel as a family to this holy place we stay at MGM Vailankanni Residency. MGM is located on the highway and easily accessible. About 5 to 7 mins drive to the Shrine, its location is a major plus. Not in the busy streets. Very peaceful environment, decent pool, good staff, food is another additional plus. Really good food in the locality. Good parking place. Kids play area, garden. Very comfortable and decent sized rooms with all basic amenities. MGM has always been my choice when we travel as a family to Velankanni. Worth the money.
