Great Hotel
lucasbH7068JYon 14/08/2017 22:41The room 202 I had been staying was fantastic. Double bed room approximately size of 5mx5m and with like 4m tall ceiling. Very airy and comfy. There is also a very comfortable sofa I could sit and relax.
The window is out to courtyard, so do not expect privacy when it is opened. The room is very dark and the light from the chandelier and bed laps is very poor. I am sure an an extra lamp would had been brought to the room if I requested.
Very nice and friendly staff. I would tip cleaners at least Β£100 if I was wealthy man, but if I visit the hotel next year, I will try to do so for their hard work.
Top price but no breakfast
palnon 13/08/2017 18:12We had booked this hotel trough our airline at the same time we booked the flight, with no known discount for around 200 pound per night.
The hotel is a short ride from the airport and about 15 min car ride to central city Edinburgh. It is a styled hotel where the interior designer has made a fusion of new and old elements using a modern "latte" colour everywhere. Nice staff, clean and fresh hotel small room but really nice bathroom . First impression was "this is a really nice hotel". First morning however was a great turnoff. We were politely informed that breakfast was not included for a hundred pounds per person and night!
A bit disapointed we ordered the continental breakfast for seven pounds each. It turned out to be quite boring and the croissants was made yesterday and quite chewie. At the final I got my mouth full of coffee ground (half my cup was full of coffee ground). It says on their website that water in the room is included in the price but when the bottled water was finished it was not replaced. Generally this hotel is a bit pricey and maybe not really worth the price.
Absolutely spot on!!
Rokchik07on 12/08/2017 13:55Stayed here during the Fringe for my husbands 40th birthday treat. I'm so glad I chose this hotel - absolutely beautiful. Our room was so nice, we didn't really want to leave π. But when we did, it was just a short walk to the bus stop and Β£1.20 single into the city centre, about 10 minutes away. The room/bathroom were immaculate, with complimentary treats and a wide selection of drinks. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious and the service was second to none. It was clear that everyone that worked there, took great pride in making our stay a special one. We will definitely be going back - do not hesitate in booking your trip to fabulous Edinburgh ππΌππΌππΌ.
Close enough to airport and city and at a good price.
shona010on 07/08/2017 16:01We had an early morning flight so chose this hotel and were not disappointed. Our room was huge with a large bay window looking out to the street. This was in the house addition to the hotel. Not noisy although on main road. The staff brought our luggage around for us and were very pleasant. The bed was very comfy and the television was part of a large mirror - lots of interesting discoveries. A little hand wrapped bag of cookies and a bottle of Prosecco - an offer when booked on line. The style was retro/boutique/traditional with decor even on the front lawn. The bathroom was large and modern with a great shower. We did not have breakfast as we had an early morning flight. The price was great for the convenience. A short bus ride to the city and only 8 miles on a direct road to the airport. We filled up with gas at the Shell Maybury petrol station the night before and had easy access to the main road from parking in front of the hotel. Great location.
Friendly Hotel
robynbaker555on 07/08/2017 12:50Access to transport good and has restaurant on premises as well as another good one next door. Parking out the back. Rooms comfortable. Trouble regulating hot water in showe and had to have it checked. Close to football stadium and worth the tour.
