We returned to the Hotel Naudi with Family and Grand children again this year for the School half term break in February.
We have now been coming to Soldeu in Grandvalira for many years and stayed in several of its hotels at all price ranges.
The Hotel Naudi which is a mid price range hotel never fails to please!
It is well placed for access to the Main Gondola to the slopes which is a five minute walk away.
There is a ski room for free ski and boot storage, but we generally hire a locker at either the top or bottom of the Gondola Lift, making the short walk to and from the Gondola easier.
Many of the Naudi's rooms face the mountains and provide spectacular views of the ski runs in winter, as does its comfortable Residents Lounge, its Terrace and its Residents Dining room.
Some rooms face the village and can be potentially noisier therefore.
Additionally there is a small A la Carte Restaurant and Bar.
The food at Breakfast and Dinner is provided buffet style, with a wide variety of dishes both hot and cold. The Dinner menu is varied and plentiful as you can eat as much as you wish and the dishes to chose from are constantly topped up.
A variety of excellent desserts are on offer for those with a sweet tooth but fruit and cheeses are also available. In the unlikely event that you do not like the Residents evening menu, the A la Carte choice is reasonably priced and in some cases the main dishes are large enough for two children to easily share one between them.
ALL the staff are friendly and helpful and the cleaners keep this hotel spotlessly clean (probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in).
Special mention for Chantal, who manages this Hotel for the Naudi Family in a totally un-flapable manner, speaking many languages and resolving residents queries and problems and arranging and advising on other restaurants to dine at, or various activities available in Andorra.
The rooms are not that large but the beds are comfortable and the temperature in the rooms is easily controlled to your preference, The Hot water for baths or showers never seems to run out. Wi-fi is available in both the public areas and the rooms but is not so reliable in the Residents dining room (which in my opinion is a good thing).
There is a four person lift to the Ski room in the 'basement' from all floors which can at times be busy. The Hotel Naudi has a sister 'Hotel Xalet Montana' located directly opposite, across the road (marginally more expensive), so there are two choices available for an excellent stay. All in all, In my opinion, one of the best value hotels you will find any where.
There is no doubt that we will be returning!

Group Ski Holiday - enjoyable stay

First time in Soldeu although travelling with a group that have stayed at Hotel Naudi many times. Swift check-in and arrangement of ski-hire (discount given as booked through hotel). Elevator is small - two people with baggage at a push!
Rooms are standard and clean. Bathroom has a half bath/shower.
We stayed on a half board basis so breakfast and dinner included. Good food with sufficient variety. Lovely salads. Coffee is from a machine so there can tend to be a queue. Lovely views of the mountains from the restaurant.
Lounge area of reception/bar level with lots of couches with beautiful views of the mountains where I happily spent an afternoon when I gave skiing a break! Hotel Naudi is right in the centre of Soldeu so near the lifts, gondolas etc.
I have to mention the staff as they are excellent! Friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to help. A real credit to the hotel. Keep it up!

Ski holiday

We have skied in Soldeu many times and this is the fourth hotel we have stayed at. It is a well run hotel with friendly staff and good service. The rooms are kept very clean and the location is ideal for the main gondola. I recommend this as a good family hotel.

Another enjoyable stay.

We have stayed at the Naudi four or five times, both in the Summer and Winter. Mainly these visits have been on Skiing trips.

What do we like about this family run three star hotel?

All of their excellent staff who make you feel very welcome.

The hotel is only a short walk away from the main Cable Car Station. Via the car park to the left, as you leave the ski and boot room.

The cleanliness of both the public areas and rooms.

Mini-safes in each room.

The buffet meals. Not fine dining, but plenty to eat after a tough day on the piste.

The Terrace with a view, for an after ski drink. Just watch for ice and snow falling off the roof.

The free hotel car park alongside the Hotel which they keep clear after any heavy snowfall.

A bus stop across the road for a trip into town.

The nearby bars, such as Fat Alberts and Aspen.

Ask their advice if needed. They know Andorra very well and have always given us good recommendations.

What don't we like?

Noise could be a problem from the hotel corridors in particular. However the hotel seems to attract an older clientele, so this has never been an issue when we have stayed.

We would have liked to have had Tea / Coffee making facilities in our room. (Older Clientele).

The Wine List is somewhat limited and restricted mainly to Torres wines. On the plus side there are some good ones and they are priced quite cheaply. We would have been happy to pay more and have had more choice.

The room we stayed in had only one electrical socket. In these days of Laptops, i-Pads, Mobile Phones, Cameras and Go Pros this could be a problem.

Do as we do and pack an Extension Lead that enables us to charge up to four appliances at once. Problem solved.

Soldeu has plenty of places to stay at, however we have never felt the need to try anywhere else and will hopefully be staying at the Naudi again, soon.

Apart from the Skiing, Andorra hosts a stage of The Vuelta this summer, immediately creating another reason to visit.

This was very good value for half board. The food was very good, if fact i think it's the only time I have ever stayed half board and didn't go out at least one evening. the rooms are tight but ok for 2, would be very tight for three, but the beds are very comfortable. Be careful if looking for ski to door as advertised on Booking.com this is not ski to door it's a five minute walk to gondola.
