A little slice of Danish heaven with first class hygge! From the moment you are greeted to the last moment of departure every need or want is anticipated and fulfilled beyond expectation. It doesn't get better than Nimb!

Absolutely Terrific

I loved my experience at the Nimb and and can't speak highly enough of it. What a wonderful, wonderful place. My room was beautiful, the continental breakfast is outstanding and the decor fabulous with beautiful flowers and candles everywhere. The staff is outstanding, extremely pleasant, professional, helpful and friendly. Some reviews complain about the peacocks, spare me, they are part of the charm. The occasional music from the bandstand can be bothersome but it's not every night so just enjoy that your are in a beautiful city in wonderful Tivoli.

The Nimb is Absolutely Wonderful!

We enjoyed the Hotel Nimb two nights before leaving for our Baltic Cruise. I began reaching out to the hotel while we were planning this trip; I harassed the Nimb staff with all kinds of inquiries like how to get there from the airport, about their latest expansion construction, etc. The Nimb staff responded very quickly and professionally. Now that I have met the staff, I can say I know they are courteous and amazing! This beautiful hotel uses real keys which you return when you leave and retrieve when you return, we found that nostalgic and quaint.

We arrived at the Nimb around 11PM and our bags were whisked away by Oscar and Alexander who were very nice and accommodating and escorted us to Room III where turn down service had already been completed and my request for a fan (a tower fan even) had been fulfilled! Room III was a nice surprise – it was beautiful and looked just like the TripAdvisor pictures! Room III looks onto a fountain and you can see part of the Tivoli bandstand. I was surprised to find that the windows actually opened. There is a small sofa and quality (heavy) wooden furniture. I have read reviews that harped about the furniture being scratched etc. – that just adds character to this awesome room. There is a fireplace, Nespresso machine, bottled water, umbrellas and a large bureau. The massive bathroom had double sinks, large walk-in shower, soaker tub with impressive Aesop toiletries. Additionally, we had a gift from the Nimb staff – a coffee table book from a local author. After a full day of flying from America’s West Coast, We immediately crashed!

Our first morning we finally got to look around and see the property a bit before breakfast. In the very wide hallway outside our room there were tables with large fresh flower arrays and candles. On the stair landing there are high backed leather chairs and adjacent there is a desk with candles and flowers. Walking down the stairs to the lobby you will hear the water feature underneath the stairs. The lobby is small but there are fresh flowers and lit candle lanterns everywhere. In the lobby we met the new front desk folks – Alexander, Daniel and Julian. These gentlemen were so gracious and genuinely friendly!

Breakfast was included in our stay and we chose to have breakfast al fresco so we could see the Peacocks and Tivoli Gardens. There is the option of buffet continental augmented with items from the extensive menu. We ordered from the menu and helped ourselves to the extensive array of continental offerings. The Continental offerings consist of several fruits, cheese, fresh local yogurt, pastry offerings and large array of fresh juices. We ordered the Croque Madame and WOW it was perfect (see the pic in this review). The egg was perfectly crisp around the edges and a perfect béchamel sauce. Our server was very attentive and always present to make sure we had enough coffee. I know cream is not a typical coffee condiment in Europe but after I asked for cream, the server brought me whipped cream. Sort of embarrassed I used it in my coffee anyway but our server immediately brought me regular cream. After breakfast we left on foot to explore Copenhagen. As we were leaving, Daniel offered us one of the Nimb’s best amenities – a Wi-Fi dongle that provided us internet all over Copenhagen, which saved us from using our International calling package. The front desk gave us a new one each time we left to see the sights. THAT WAS A GREAT HELP!

After walking all over Copenhagen we returned for a nap and then to see Tivoli Gardens. The Nimb supplies their guests with free access to Tivoli and wrist bands for the rides. I have read several reviews regarding noise from the bands performing at the Tivoli bandstand. It is quite loud at times and I can see where some people would be upset over the loud music. Our room was just far enough away from the bandstand we could only hear the bass thumping now and then. We stayed out pretty late and returned to the Nimb to find our room had been turn down serviced and my fan was already on!

Our final morning we once again chose to have breakfast al fresco and enjoy the morning in a very quiet Tivoli Gardens. Our server remembered the whipped cream incident and gave me cream for my coffee! We once again raided the beautiful continental selections and chose the Croque Madame. We got to hear the town square bells as we plotted how to get all four of us and all that luggage to our cruise ship docked at Oceankaj. Sadly we had to check out and say goodbye to the great folks at the Nimb.

The Nimb is just absolutely wonderful. I am not going to say hotel because that would do a disservice to these folks. The Nimb is more than a hotel it is an experience. We truly felt at home and infected by the Nimb folk’s positive energy and attitude. We definitely made the right decision when we booked our stay here and I strongly encourage others to visit them soon!

Great stay at the Nimb

We just came back from a 4 night stay at the Nimb Hotel which we enjoyed immensely. We stayed in room 13 which was a Junior Suite. While it didn't have the best view of the Tivoli Gardens it was a pleasant and spacious room with good facilities.

The staff at the front desk could not be more helpful. Also we really enjoyed the odd drink in the bar adjacent to the Brasserie, where the staff are also lovely. The buffet breakfast was very good with a great selection to choose from.

Its a small intimate hotel with only 17 rooms, which really adds to its charm. I understand that they are expanding and adding another 20 or so rooms and a rooftop pool. It will be interesting to see if they still maintain the same 'small' hotel feel.
Would definitely stay with them again if I went back to Copenhagen.

Excellent!

The perfect experience. The service was excellent and the room was decorated nicely and had all the features you would need for the perfect stay. Kind and always helpful staff at all positions. We will certainly be back :-)
