CharleyNottinghamUKon 08/07/2017 14:24We stayed here for two night's in June 2017. We pre booked our stay, and checked in O.K. The guy on the desk was polite, friendly, and helpful. Our room had two queen beds, which were firm, and we slept well both night's(no noise). The room was clean, it had a nice fire place, which you don't see often enough in motels. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. T.V. fridge, microwave etc. Yes, a good choice to stay here. Restaurants within walking distance, one next door, which we used, very good, gas stations at hand( as the motel is set back from the Trans. Canada Hwy). A five min. drive gets you to downtown Golden where you'll find shops and a few restaurants, or if you're mobile and don't mind a stroll, a 15min. walk, no big deal(the surrounding scenery is great). Overall, a comfortable stay. Would recommend to all.
Horrible Customer service
Carrie Bon 23/05/2017 18:12I tried to call this hotel 2 times. The first time I miss understood the front desk clerk/manager and he hung up on me. The second time I called he shouted at me for not understanding him and hung up on me again!
I did not book a room.

Spacious room with two queen size beds, fridge, microwave, coffee & tea maker....very friendly owner.
A short 5-min drive will take you to downtown Golden, if you wish to.
Highly recommended.

Golferdave113on 10/05/2017 05:23Arrived late, 9:00 pm, into Golden hauling our large 5th wheel. Decided to stay at a motel. Chose the Selkirk Inn. What a nice surprise. The gentleman at the desk, Azire, said he had 1 downstairs room left and only a few upstairs. We chose downstairs. Do not go by first impressions. Room was bright and clean with nice queen bed, flat screen TV, microwave, fridge and an electric fireplace. All very modern. Bathroom was clean and fresh with modern fixtures. Bed was very comfortable. Very quiet.
Azire suggested 2 places to eat at this late hour, a BBQ restaurant next door or a pizza shop. We chose BBQ. Very nice burger and ribs but a little pricey. The Inn also had a hot tub and steam room as well as a Laundromat. I believe the town caters to the downhill skiers, and snowmobilers in the winter and hikers in the summer.

Cody Won 09/05/2017 20:58I stayed here for just over a month with work and had a great experience. Very friendly and good clean rooms. I had a kitchenette an it was stocked with everything you would need for cooking on the road. Located just off the highway for easy access and helped with any questions I had with the surrounding area. Will be staying here again when I'm out in Golden.
