Don't miss this hotel. It has best nature view, lake, mountains, breeze and garden.
I just loved it. You can chill out and relax all day in the hotel with no need to get out. Small boat can be booked to take it yourself and have fun in the lake for free. Breafast is ok but not great.
The Room View was WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. You have to take the lake view room.
Very close from Thun town where you can visit and have a meal for a change. Bus stops in front of hotel.

من افضل الفنادق التي حجزتها.. روقان ورومنسيه وطبيعه وخدمة ومناظر وحديقه مباشرة على البحيرة مع امكانية اخذ قارب التجديف الصغير في البحيرة مجاناً . الموقع جنة الله في أرضه. قريب من قرية ثون وموقف الباص بجانب الفندق ولديهم مواقف سيارات مجانيه.
الفطور عادي مع خيارات بسيطة .. الغرف جيدة جداً ويجب ان تحجز الغرفه المطله على البحير مع بلكونه مو تيراس.

انصح به وبشدة..

I usually don't splurge on hotels when I travel, but when traveling to Switzerland I knew I wanted a few days of pure relaxation and that is what Parkhotel Gunten gave to me! The room is basic, but clean. My bed was fairly comfortable, the view from my small balcony was great during lunch, and the bathroom was clean. The room was not luxurious by any means but for the price, this was okay, considering Switzerland can be such an expensive country to travel to. The best part about my stay was easily the spa. It's an old boathouse converted into a steam room, two saunas, a hot tube, and a relaxation room. Pure serenity! I will never forget overlooking the calm waters and the mountains in the distance from one of the sauna windows. They are well-maintained, and the hotel even provides a robe and slippers for your convenience. I even got a chance to borrow the boat free of charge to row out to the middle of the lake on a sunny day. If you're looking for a simple, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere at a reasonable price, this the place you're looking for, :).

Yes, you can get all the elegance and comfort from a great hotel on the shores of Lake Thun, without the 5 star price tag. Parkhotel was a real treat for us and the garden on the lake was relaxing and gave access for a swim in the lake (freezing.) The breakfast was comprehensive and while it lacked the small touches (or over indulgence) of the 5 start hotels it was a very enjoyable stay. Thanks

One night visit with my daughter

Stayed just one night in August 2016. Room was very clean but furniture was very basic. Hotel is by the lake, splendid building, however the inside needs to be upgraded. We found the spa area very small. I did not feel comfortable being so close to the other NAKED guests. The staff were all very nice, friendly and helpful. We were on half board and were very diappointed with the evening meal. Not at all satisfactory for a 3*** hotel. The breakfast was great, lots of choice. It would be nice to have a bar, lounge for pre and after dinner drinks with maybe some music.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Parkhotel Gunten. The rooms are adequate but without any significant luxury. It was the view from our lakeside room that absolutely dazzled and took our breath away. Breakfast was good, but dinner much less impressive. Boring selection of foods, which we heard from other guests had been much better a few years ago. One other criticism I heard was that there is no possibility of going out for a decent jog in the morning since the hotel sits right on a busy road. The sauna, built in an old boathouse right on the lake, was the most beautiful I've ever seen. A circular staircase went straight down into the crystal clear lake water. I won't forget this region of Switzerland anytime soon!!
