Not our best B&B Experience
AmitV484on 28/08/2016 15:20Pros: Location, Clean
Cons: Little/no hot water, Lack of Services/Amenities, Upkeep
We did two nights here but felt there was a lack of service and hospitality. Maybe it is due to fact that the building/business is for sale?
Common areas were locked/shut by the time we got back from dinner. Porch was accessible but light switch was nowhere to be found. I was told only the owner can turn the lights on. We were unable to socialize amongst ourselves.
We had luke warm water at best when showering in the morning.
Hairdryer provided was quite old and not very functional. There was not one provided in our room although it is listed as an amenity
No common area fridge for guest to store items
Wifi was spotty - so do not count on it.
No wine glasses or corkscrew for guest use. I tried calling when I needed one but did not get an answer and there was no one around to ask.
a charming oasis, with a charming hostess
Paul Bon 21/04/2016 14:05This little bed and breakfast is one of the warmest and pleasant places I have visited in the US. Normally I stay in large corporate hotels, so this was very much a change.
Nancy was so helpful and nice, from the moment I got there through to leaving. Her breakfast was fabulous and in true American style there was plenty.
The room was traditional, with a huge bed, which was just what you needed to snuggle down in after a long day. Even though it was traditional it had everything you needed. The internet was good and free. The shower was strong and it was quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.
The views from the back of the house were fabulous, looking out over the farm land and hills. It is unbelievable that this little escape is only an hour from New York.
Such a lovely place, and just right for an escape from the city
A lovely visit
johnandenaon 21/02/2016 17:30This was our second visit to the peach grove inn. As usual, Nancy does everything she can to make your stay a great one! The room, along with the rest of house, has a cozy, warm hearted feeling to it. Perfect for a weekend getaway for anyone and everyone!! Nancy is also a great cook and provided a delicious breakfast. My belly was certainly not disappointed. When your not enjoying the room, there is plenty to do around town. Overall a beautiful place to stay!
Delicious Food, Warm Hospitality
wallymlon 15/02/2016 22:30After a stressful January we came to the Peach Grove for a relaxing get-away weekend-- and the Peach Grove was perfect! We stayed in the Joel Room, which was beautiful, and had the run of the gorgeous old house to ourselves. Nancy (the innkeeper) is a true delight who welcomed us with her hospitality-- ferrying up wineglasses when needed; always ready with a friendly chat and tip-- and cooked us large, delicious breakfasts! I had tea in the sitting room in the mornings, using the WiFi to check-in on a bit of work, and we sipped wine in our room before heading out for the night. A truly historic and lovely place to get-away-- not to be missed!
Love, Love, Love this place
Lisa Don 07/01/2016 02:44Gorgeous well appointed and authentic rooms. Inn is beautiful and Nancy (Proprietor and Innkeeper) is a gracious host. The food is very good, hospitality is warm, and Nancy is very helpful with suggestions, reservations etc. I stay here anytime I am in the area and always very happy.
