A nice restaurant on the roof top
The negative is , there is nothing around the hotel and at night it is a dead area . that will change with time , but in august 2015 that is gost twn
Good but remote place to live
Robbert Qon 23/06/2015 02:31My company had rented a 2 bedroom apartment in WTC and I lived here for about 4 weeks total.
I really enjoyed the large space that was available and the breakfast was good too. (maybe the same everyday, but there was a lot to choose from)
The downside of this place is that it is far away from civilisation; supermarket, bars, restaurants are all about a 25 minute taxi or bus ride away (in Nansha).
For going out on Saturdays you would have to cross the bridge to get to Humen, a very lively part of town with plenty things going on: bars, pubs and clubs. Plenty of hotels and restaurants there as well.
Downtown Guangzhou is even more metropolic with the nicely lit skyscrapers and big city vibe, but very far away from WTC.
Big plus for the WTC is the Ferry that can take you to Hong Kong, this is literally just across the road. The ferry is cheap and takes less than 2 hours. Hong Kong is nice and worth a visit, whether you are into shopping or eating out or clubbing it is all there!
Maybe in a few years time once the Marina is finished and the area becomes more populated things will improve a lot.
There is a lot of building going on so it is only a matter of time.
OK for an extended stay.
Gary Aon 03/06/2015 22:30Great price for an apartment like accommodation. Kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom for a very reasonable price. Huge amount of closets and storage for a hotel stay. Hotel is very modern and rather stark in its furnishings. Raised bedroom area caused a fall into the hallway when got up at night to do necessary and forgot there was a step down to hall and bathroom. Staff spoke some English and was helpful although they were unable to change money.
Main drawback of this hotel was it's isolated location--nothing around! If you had you own transportation it would be OK, but walking is not recommended as nothing is close by.
Breakfast was not good, but at least they know how to fix eggs over easy!! A plus versus the fried hockey pucks that usually pass for eggs in many Chinese Hotels I have stayed in.

Check-In or Check-out cost a lot of nervs. If you are in a hurry, better wake up earlier. Easy things to make complicated this will be founded here. Absolute friendly but mostly unproffessionel Operators. How a hotel like this one can survive this will be forever a secret. Since 9 month always the same breakfast. Never changed. Absolute poor standard, I would prefer to pay a higher price for a better breakfast. For two € you can't prepair a nice breakfast, even not in china. The location is far away from any action if you can talk about action in Nansha. The price of one small bottle of local beer (25 RMB) is also far away from reality. Maybe the calculation works like that one: If less guests you need to increase the price and at the end of the day the turnover will be also o.k. Comparing with other hotels in china you can forget it. I agree to pay 10 Euro more per day if there is an acceptable service available. To explain your wishes or asking something in english language can be a great challenge.
