What People are saying

Overrated

Genevieve Von 20/05/2017 03:02

The rooms are dirty, shower has molds, the bed doesnt even have a comforter. They allow outsiders to swim. For just 150 you can actually swim here; while guests have to pay a relatively bigger price, experiencing the same ammenities. Double bed rooms have no ventilation. Food is terrible. I think the price is really overrated for the type of service and ammenities that youll get.

Bed bugs

The resort is affordable and very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, we have a problem on our first night when the rooms 106//107 that were given to my family was full of bed bugs. My children were bitten which cause them to have skin rashes and itchiness.
The resort staff were very accommodating to transfer us to another room which is better without the bed bug problem.
The management should take action to get rid of the bugs to avoid similar problems to happen to their guests in the future...

Relaxing View

The place is relaxing and very picturesque. The sand beach is fine gray and really nice to walk in. Sunset views are worth remembering. Service is friendly and prompt. Check-in and Check-out is a breeze.

If you plan to stay overnight, try to arrange a room that is on the garden side and away from the stairway. If you can get the Villa then that might be better.

The room we were in was on the street side (left side facing the beach), with a (Tourist?) Bus parked right beside our room window. We can hear the bus engine and people getting on and off late at night and early morning. Also can here the Bus exhaust through the airconditioning.

Some of the guests were also a bit noisy during the evening, you can hear them running, talking loudly in the corridor.

Other than that, it was still a nice place.

Stunning view

The resort is Balinese inspired so it looks like a different place/environment from the Philippines when you enter. It's a nice place to watch the sunset and relax with your partner, family, or friends.

Most nights it is very quiet and you can have the place and pool to yourself.

The place is quite secluded so there are not too many shops outside the resort, closest you can get to is 7/11 and there are no ATMs, if you want to withdraw, you travel in another town called Batac.

The staff are very friendly and always smiling,

Their food is okay although it could do better!

Bad Customer Service, facilities not maintained well, quite a drive going to other destinations in Ilocos Norte.

Travelled 8 hours from Manila to reach the Hotel and arrived just past 11A.M. Took the chance and inquired from the front desk if we can do an early check-in before having lunch. They told us to wait until housekeeping is done for our villa and told us to wait by the cottages. We saw our room being cleaned by hotel staff so we thought we can bring in our bags before noon so we can head our for lunch. Tired from the road trip, we were eager to settle down so we can have a good rest after lunch. Saw hotel staff leaving our room after 15 mins so I thought we can check in soon but when I followed up the front desk, they said no clearance yet was made by housekeeping. Waited again at the cottage and fell asleep until 12:30 only to be waken up by my colleagues telling me they inquired earlier and was told that the room was still not ready. Everybody was tired and hungry so I went back to the front desk to follow up only to be told that supervisor gave instructions that they can only check in by 2PM. I got mad since we were initially advised otherwise from the start and they made us wait under the sun for more than an hour. They could have told us earlier when we were following up but they had to wait until we were already restless. We were about to head for lunch when one staff gave us go signal to bring in our bags but it was too late since we were already hungry. They had to wait until we got mad before acting on our request.

On our stay, we booked the villa, it was nice but it only had one bathroom for 2 rooms. If your a party of 4 or more, that will be time consuming waiting for each other to use the bathroom. Our pool was nice but the filter and recirculating pump was not working so they just dosed to pool heavily with chlorine for our 2 nights stay. There were lights that did not work and the hair dryer in the bathroom was not functioning. I think the rates for this are a bit high considering they were not well maintained.

They have this package for a 30-min massage for 2 people as part of the villa booking. However, we never had a chance to avail this since everytime we went to the spa, nobody was there to entertain us to make a reservation. They did not have a local number where to call also and you have to course it though the front desk (which was never good servicing our needs in the first place). So do not keep your hopes up on having the 30 min massage when you plan on booking.

The beachfront was dirty, adjacent development were public resorts so the sand was filled with garbage and was covered by pumpboats. Be careful also of glass and other sharp objects by the beach. Local government should be mindful and make necessary rules to at least make the bay as clean as possible.

The hotel structure was nice (mind you that pictures of this resort looks better in real life) and it accommodated pets which we had on our trip (that's why I gave it 2 instead of 1 star). But I will definitely not book myself again in this place considering it they have no concept of good customer service and the place was also quite a drive to the other tourist destinations like Laoag, Paoay, Vigan.
