Good Stay!

Vatsal Son 30/08/2017 06:47

We were planning for a short trip to somewhere for the Diwali weekend. All the good resorts were full. Due to my uncle's reference we found out Pluz Resort at Silvassa. It's a good 150 km drive from Mumbai (roughly 2 hrs). It is a good resort. With modern amenities. Good rooms. Great food! We also got a great deal when booking. We had a 2N/3D package all-inclusive with food. For the first day we had all our meals at their Flavours restaurant. The next day a big group of 40 people arrived so they shifted the restaurant to their banquet hall which can easily accomodate 500+ people. They have indoor games like Pool (free of cost), Table tennis and carrom. They also have an excellent swimming pool with a jacuzzi section located upstairs(refer pic). They also have a rain dance facility(refer pic). They have raindance 2 times everyday. We were 4 people, all adults...so instead of booking 2 rooms...we adjusted in a single family room consisting of 2 queen size beds(obviously we would adjust in 1 room as we got a great deal). The rooms were quite big enough. They have some suite rooms also...but I guess their Family rooms are quite better as compared to the suite rooms. The staff is also quite good. 4 stars because there is an absolute menace of mosquitoes and small insects there after the sun sets. So it becomes a havoc sitting in the open areas after 5.30 pm. Basically its a mango farm converted into a Resort. Trust me..visit this place if you're on a budget. You will not wate your money.

I visited for two nights and three days with friends. booked 2 4 bed rooms. initially allotted rooms was horrible. from balcony u can see all dumped garbeg. also in bath room exhaust was not working. tv was not working etc. after that they changed rooms two times. finally we got good room. but it is ok. for each and every thing we hv to ask like soap , towel etc. room service was ok. food was nice. other amenities are good for spending time. but no professionalism at all. i can say it is ok.

A great weekend getaway

We visited Pluz Resort in August 2017 as part of a 25 member group of families. We had a very enjoyable weekend.

The Plus:
-Lavish use of space (including rooms).
-Swimming pool and rain dance.
-The vegetarian food.
-Excellent service and staff.

The Minus:
-Clean but old towels, lack of hot water in our bathroom.
-Widespread leakages in roof over sitout by the pool-side (problem in monsoon).
-Location little out of the way.

After taking a slightly confusing route we reached the resort. The resort is spread over a fairly large orchard full of lush green trees. The parking lot could have been a little nearer to the Lobby entrance, though.

The first thing that hit me is the lavish use of space in the building. A huge lobby, broad passages, an impressively large restaurant and sprawling rooms.

For some unknown reason though, the elevators were surprisingly small, squeezing in 4 to 5 guests at the most. With suitcases, they would probably need more than one trip.

The decor pulled through the tasteful mark, though some would find it a bit overdone in the lobby (especially the ceiling).

The rooms were huge, with comfortable, clean beds and bedding. The pillows could have performed better (to suit a classy resort), and the towels looked old and used. Our view from the window was the refreshing greenery of the mango trees. The toilet-bathrooms were clean and amneties included soaps and shampoos. We had a problem with running hot water in our room.

The swimming pool was clean and inviting. But it could get crowded if the resort was hosting its full strength of 75+ rooms. The chlorination on one day was a bit overdone with many of our people getting red eyes after a swim. But the jacuzzi was good.

There was a big sitout area by the poolside but the roof above it leaked in many places, making it impossible for us to sit there when it rained.

The indoor games facilities were good. We didn't try out the spa.

The Rain Dance arrangement next to the swimming pool was stupendous and simulated a heavy natural rain. The music and disco lights further ensured a fantastic experience for us. That was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended.

The vegetarian food was excellent, mostly Indian cuisine, with a wide variety. The non-veg starters were salty, not for those with high blood pressure. That, and the moderately tasty, lone non-veg dish in the entire buffet (a chicken curry) told me that their chefs were more well-versed with vegetarian cuisine.

The staff was excellent, extremely helpful, going out of their way to fulfill everyone's little needs. The manager, Mr. Sahay, was very cooperative and helpful as well.

Overall, a superb place to spend a relaxing weekend.

Route to Pluz Resort from NH8 Highway:
• Take the NH 8 Highway. At Bhilad, take the exit onto the Bhilad-Silvassa Road.
• Continue on Bhilad-Silvassa Road for 5 km till you reach ‘Orion Imperia’ buildings on your Left. They are small but posh buildings (like a Mall) with an HDFC Bank.
• Opposite the Orion Imperia building, take the Right turn onto Kanadi Road. The entrance of the road has a height restriction barrier.
• Continue straight on Kanadi Road for 1.9 km. Then, on your Right, you will see a broad 4-Lane type concrete road with a concrete divider.
• Turn Right onto that road. Almost immediately, you will pass a white round building that looks like a circus tent—a restaurant called Ashiana—on your Right.
• Head straight for 2 km. You will pass many big industries (including one called Bhilosa Industries) on your Left. Continue until you see Pluz Resort on your Left

I'have stayed here 3 times over 6 years and I simply can't imagine staying anywhere else. The location is perfect, being close enough to the attractions I'm interested in, yet isolated enough that I don't feel overrun by tourists Property Running By very Good Parmar Family they are Very Soft Hearted.
It amazes me that the staff make the effort to track the fact that I am a repeat guest and they acknowledge it throughout my stay. My rate includes breakfast, Lunch, High tea & Dinner there is no additional charge to have it served on my table. Wow what a Indian Food with Executive pool Facing room was very Good and larg. The lobby was Very Big Front of G.M cabin Excellent Operation By Clara Prem and all Managment of Pluz Resort.
Thank to all Pluz Resort Team.

This is a wonderful and isolated property for relaxed family outing or bustling business meeting.
Food is lip smacking except South Indian food.
Non vegetarian spread was authentic mughlai and Afghani and forced to extend stay to enjoy one more lunch.
Icing on the cake is there CSR initiative of training and employing local tribal girls and boys.
All the best.
