Ideal for families with kids

If you have kids and you're looking for a nice hotel and the Seaside, this might be your choice. This hotel has a great location and amenities that your children will enjoy: playgrounds, swimming pools, petting zoo, all-day entertainment, sports equipment, kids beauty salon, kids menu and the restaurantetc. We traveled with our one-year-old daughter and really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend the hotel spa as well, their services are amazing.

Minor disadvantages include pebble beach which is rather small, very slow Wi-Fi, slippery floor in the restaurant after the rain, and a strange tonnell that you need to take if you choose to walk to the beach

Good resort hotel in crimea

Cool place to stay with kids. Nice beach club. Good food. First time i saw a decent beach club in crimea. Hope this hotel will get better and better. Because i am planning to be their regular client. It is a heavan for kids of all ages. A decent family hotel in crimea. The rooms are good and territory is cool especially for kids.

Excellent!

This hotel is an amazing place to spend your holiday with family. In Crimea there are a lot of hotels, but if you are going with kids, they are not so many. Porto mare is on of the best family hotel. I've been there two times, food was tasty, big choice, and kids menu. The territory is pretty big, and i was really impressed by the territory on the beach. The beach is very clean and lovely place to watch sunshine go down. As to the rooms, they are modern and clean. Stuff are very helpful! Thank you!

Good for children, OK service

Porto Mare in Alushta is an OK place to go for some days. We stayed a week, and it felt a bit too long, as there is not much to do for adults. But for kids, it's pretty good. They have a big pool area, which is best for kids that can swim (although they have a little baby pool area). Next to the pool area there is also a decent kids room, with many "animators" that activate the kids.

The place is really a kids hotel, as almost all guests are with small children. I've also never seen so many pregnant women in one place.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the beach, and they have their own private beach area, which is nice. There is an electric bus/train going every 10 minutes.

There is not much to see in the nighbourhood around the hotel. The infrastructure is shabby and dirty and not inviting at all. Crimea is beautiful from nature and has a very pleasant climate, but the people administering this great place has done their best to destroy it. It seems nothing has happened during last 20 years.

Inside the hotel, there is a pleasant lounge area, with a bar and a restaurant service. This is the "relax" place for both adults and kids, and there is some music in the evenings. The service here is good, and the restaurant food actually great!

The food in the common dining area (where you eat on full- or half board) is boring, but OK. It is a self service system, and the capacity is a bit small, so expect lines and good food to be grabbed away instantly.

My worst comment is about the beds. They are hard as rock, and it seems like just wooden boards with a couple of blankets. Very difficult to sleep, and our backs really hurt after a week. For this reason alone, we will not be returning to this place. However, decent value for money if you have kids, have books to read while kids are playing, and can sleep on rocks.
