First Night Dinner in Gstaad
2atthebaron 10/04/2017 16:21This was a great suggestion from our hotel for our first night's dinner in Gstaad. Located in the Posthotel Reossli in the center of Gstaad, this is a typical Swiss restaurant, very warm and inviting with perfect service and a terrific meal. Menu is mixed with a selection of meats and fish and of course raclette and fondu; also local cheeses. I had a delicious pan fried trout and my husband had a steak. Our waitress suggested a really good wine. This was a great beginning to our time in Gstaad. For more see 2atthebar.com
Downtown Gstaad
Ardus Pon 08/03/2017 21:24Can't remember the room number. Second Floor, to the back of the house.
The room is 100% bare wood : floor, walls & ceiling , smells awfully good.
Brand new bathroom, no balcony.
No noise heard from adjoining rooms.
Meals should be taken at the Stube, where the Stammtisch gathers local customer and curous vistors like me.
Cosy very Swiss Inn
HarryBerry11on 19/02/2017 16:41Very farmer-like cosy restaurant situated on the main walking-street in Gstaad. Mixed menue including steaks, soup and various typical Swiss cheese dishes such as raclette and fondue. Mid price level. Polite and correct service. Nothing for gourmets but for those who like the genuine Swiss kitchen.
Vintage Alps -- location, comfort, and super-helpful staff
Marie Lon 14/01/2017 17:37We chose Posthotel Rossli for the location and value, and were delighted with the large, comfortable room, great views of town from our balcony, nice breakfast, and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Charming historical building, with up-to-date rooms and bathrooms, good wireless, and helpful up-to-the-minute advice on weather, lift opening, bus schedules and more to plan our day.
Lunch on 31st of December - stolen items - rudeness of owner
pascale bon 03/01/2017 13:52This was supposed to be a nice lunch and ended as a disaster. Unsafe place where jacket was stolen in the cloakroom and rudeness of the owner. When you expect customers to pay the huge bill you present at the end of a meal you should pay attention to their belongings.
