Convenient out of centre location
Descartes244238on 25/05/2017 08:56Convenient out of centre location at half the price of the rip off, tatty seafront hotels. It may not be up to everyone's taste but we find it cosy and friendly. The gentleman who serves breakfast each morning is impeccable. Bus stop right outside for a 10 min journey to the centre or direct phone line provided for cab hire. Lovely breakfast and reasonably sized rooms.

Rooms wasn't very clean .
Hotel not central but easy to order taxis and parking . Not walkable if you want to grab coffee etc .
Staff were nice though

scarter821on 21/05/2017 11:26My Mum booked through Expedia but the rooms we were shown weren't suitable. One of them smelt really bad. £112.51 plus £7.00 extra per person for breakfast. The whole building needs urgent refurbishment. The foreign receptionist was rude too. We didn't stay there. No lift only stairs which didn't help my Mum's bad leg. We have stayed there before and once was enough. The parking in terms of access to Brighton is the only good thing about it. Mum and I were due to go and watch the Mini Run today but there is always next year where we will stay somewhere decent!!!
Very budget!
Lionel Ton 08/05/2017 00:16Second visit in Brighton, and I think this was worse than the fist place. The staff didn't seem to keen to be of any assistance, and the rooms were awful and in much need of updating. I think from now on I will have to spend more to stay somewhere better.
Good low budget value for money.
Chris Won 06/05/2017 19:01The Good: Got a super deal from Hotel Bookings Dot Com, two nights double room for two adults only £135 (breakfast £10.50pp extra but we declined.) Free car parking, Free wifi. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was very quiet, probably because it was almost empty.
The Bad: We had room 220, quite a route march up and down flights of stairs to get there, maybe not too disabled friendly?
Our room was in a sad decorative state, dead flies on the windowsill, trouser press that didn't work, piece of old plywood screwed to access the wc flush system, cracked bathroom tiles in need of grouting, and a very weak shower.
We spoke to the receptionist on checking out, suggesting the hotel be pulled down and rebuilt? and she confirmed this is exactly their intention.
Understandably, this being so they are not going to throw away renovating cash at the moment? But at the moment this hotel is very good value for money, if your expectations are not too high.
