Getting better!
Maya Kon 12/06/2017 14:34I've stayed at Primoretz couple of years ago when hotel was just opened but didn't really enjoy the stay. This time around my impressions are completely different.
We can argue about the style and furniture but it is fact that rooms are huge, most of them with fantastic sea view, well equipped and immaculately clean. Same refers to bathrooms, choice of toiletries is very good. Breakfast was excellent, huge variety and very good quality.
I don't like hotel restaurants at all, but we arrived late and had no other option but to have dinner at the hotel. Beef carpaccio and veal steak were both fantastic.
My only complains are related to the service. It is not acceptable in 5 stars hotel guests to carry luggage themselves from the car park to the reception (even after 10pm) or reception to be unattended at noon time for 15-20 minutes.
avoid this hotel
Jon Bon 09/06/2017 15:17I am in e block which is situated at the end of unsignposted poorly lit and smelly corridors, stairs and lifts. The room was not clean, no soap and the phone did not work. I tried to find the room myself but had to return to reception as e block is not signposted. The member of staff who took me to my room pointed down the last corridor and said its down there..it wasn't! wrong floor. It took me ten minutes to find my way back to reception as again there are no signposts. At one point there is a large internal hallway with several doors off non of them marked. I was concerned that If there was a fire I would be unable to find my way out. I complained to the hotel along with other guests in the group I was travelling wit. The hotel staff were not interested in helping. I did manage to get some soap although on the second night it had to be requested again.
I would not recommend this hotel. Its star rating should only be 2/3
Not the 5 star we expected
Julia9950on 28/05/2017 21:33We arrived at 3am and were given our keys and a sandwich. From then on it's been down hill all the way. The keys didn't work in the lift, so went back to reception, the porter came to the lift with us 'as we were incorrectly using keys'. He couldn't get them to work. Back to reception, new keys given, off to our room 510. Put the key in our bedroom door, went into find the room all ready occupied by one frightened lady. Loaded luggage back in lift, back to reception. We're told it was impossible and we had gone to the wrong room. I pointed out we had opened and gone into the room with the key she gave us. Given a new key for room 310, back in the lift, wth our luggage, no offer of help or accompaniment to make sure everything was ok. Got to our new room, key worked, no one in the room, off to bed. We were half board, only menu is a set in Russian, which the waiter could not translate all. Ordered a bottle of wine and water but service extremely slow. Waiter took our bottle of wine and water, and was supposed to replenish our glasses, this did not happen and we were continually sat there with empty glasses. In the end I asked for the bottle to be kept on the table. We decided to eat out after this experience . Every night on going to out room we were kept awake till 1am plus by loud music and base from functions happening in the hotel. We have 4 days left and are contemplating booking another hotel so we can get a nights sleep.
On the plus side the hotel and spa are beautiful and extremely clean. The hotel is within Walking distance to the main centre, shops, bars and restaurants.
Fortunately not all of us have same standards.
highstreqestedon 28/03/2017 17:45Asking for a non smoking room is something like expect that you will find the Marco's place in Venice without a dove. Impossible. Smoking in Bulgaria is prohibited in hotel rooms unfortunately I think nobody respects that.
Our favorite hotel in Burgas, but...
Vladimirgdimitrovon 16/02/2017 11:31Me and my wife have been coming to this hotel several times in the previous years and we always have loved our stay. Unfortunately this time things were not so perfect as we expected them to be (we stayed on 14th of February). To start with we were entitled to receive welcome drinks upon our arrival - something that didn't happen. When we entered our room it had very strange, sewer smell like the room hasn't been opened for quite a while. We just decided to live with it and open the windows and enjoy our stay. Later on we took a bottle of white wine from the minibar in the room - what a surprise, the expiration date has passed with more than 6 months (28.06.2016!)! The red wine bottle has also expired more than 6 months ago! Maybe it proves my theory that the room hasn't been opened for some time. We reported those issues to the front desk where we were told that they cannot do anything about it till the morning when the manager arrives. The lady from the front desk at that time apologized to us for the inconvenience though.
On the next morning when we went to check out we asked the manager on duty about the wine situation. The response was that we don't need to pay for it?!?! Really? We didn't expect that we have to pay for expired wine anyway but thank you for the gesture. What was worse is that he told us wine does not expire?!?! Really? Wine does expire especially when it is with metal screw cap. Unopened white wine expires within 1-2 years. All in all this was for sure not the response we expected from a 5 star hotel manager. The reason I am writing this review is that such a beautiful and nice 5 star hotel needs to have 5 star service (as it used to have in all our previous stays) which definitely wasn't the case this time. The difference between 5 star and less star hotels is in the details and service. The way we were treated did not response to the 5 star status of the hotel! No compensation for the inconvenience whatsoever was offered.
Everything else was good - breakfast was fantastic as usual, location of the hotel is great, it is clean.
