Mixed experiences
Frank Don 28/07/2017 10:23Hotel facilities show to have been remodeled to an extent. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I prefer a curtain in the shower or a sliding door versus the partial wall in place there, water splashes outside shower and makes a mess, plus makes bathroom floor slippery. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The main discomfort during this visit was the Lobby and Restaurant area and the hallways to rooms - none of them have climate control. Any time we were there it felt warm and hot in all these areas - it only got somewhat better in the evenings. In addition, the restaurant windows are open and right next to the outdoor smoking area - so there is the unpleasant and toxic smell of cigar/cigarette smoke wafting into the restaurant/bar area. Highly unpleasant. Can't enjoy dining or meeting under such conditions (heat and stink of smoking).
Nice hotel, well run, staff goes the extra mile!
Ridgeback Pon 27/07/2017 21:09My son and I stayed at the hotel for a couple of days. The room was well kept and the food in the restaurant was better than most Hiltons in the United States. But the real reason this hotel gets five stars is the staff. They were super-helpful and really went the extra mile for us.
For example, our return flight to the States was very early in the morning, so we took a taxi to the airport at 4:30 am. I accidentally left my iPhone 6 in the taxi and didn't realize it until I had already cleared Immigration and security. I had no time to go back and retrieve it, and no way to contact the driver. I thought I'd see the last of my phone. But when I called the hotel, they had my phone! The staff were very helpful in arranging with DHL to ship my phone back to me in the United States. They saved me a lot of money and hassle by returning the phone. I can't say enough about how helpful Monica Alvarez and her colleagues were. I can't wait to return and stay with them again!
Overnight stay
cornhusker17on 26/07/2017 15:30We flew into and out of Guatemala City on our way to Antigua and Lake Atitlan. We spent the night of our arrival and prior to our departure at the Hilton Garden Inn. There is nothing interesting in the immediate area but we did not have time to explore or visit the city. The hotel readily responded to my questions online and the shuttle service to and from the airport - a five minute drive was perfect. Roberto was friendly and informative. We enjoyed speaking with him on our drive.
Oasis in hot city
scarlettfan1on 25/07/2017 18:22Stayed with a group from USA. Staff was either bilingual or got someone who was. Rooms nice and clean. Definitely what you expect at Hilton property. Great bathroom with excellent shower. Remote controlled air conditioning. Stayed first and last nights of our trip.
Good hotel

When you are traveling for business it is very important to be on time with all your agenda and one key is to be in the right hotel. I think this hotel is one of the good ones.
