What People are saying

Meh...

At first I really wasn't happy with this place because it's very old and shows it's age and it is not on the beach. However, after the first day I was over that. I had a good time here. The service is very good and they go above and beyond to help out.

The rooms are... well... weird. See my picture in this review. I can only guess this kind of multilevel flooring was at some point in fashion. To me it seems unsafe when you get up at night to use the restroom. The bathroom is similarly tiered floor. Strange. Be sure to turn on the lights!

The free breakfast is very good, served on the roof with a great view of the ocean. Don't miss it. A great place to start at 7 AM before it gets too hot.

The biggest annoyance was the Wi-Fi. You are limited to two connections and they don't disconnect and reconnect smoothly so you have to call the front desk for them to kill your previous connection so you can reconnect.

All in all a good place to stay. I didn't see any elevator though so you need to be able to handle uneven stairs.

Quiet, spacious retreat

The PuntaRosa is located in a quieter area of White Beach, north of Station 1. The hotel itself is set back from the beach - you have to pass through some shacks which are on the beach to access the beach, wasn't a big deal but could certainly make some people uncomfortable. From here, you can walk to the center of activity in Station 2 in probably 15 minutes if you walk right down the beach. We did this during day time and night time. So location wise, if you are looking to be located somewhere quieter this is a great spot to be. The room was very nice and airy with a lot of windows and great views. We were staying in Cielo which I would recommend as it was the top floor so we could actually see the water and beach. The room had a nice spacious terrace and the bathroom was completely outdoors. My main complaint is that we only had hot water in the shower 1 day out of 4, this was really annoying because at night time when it cooled off, since it was outdoors, you would be freezing in the cold shower if the wind picked up. The breakfast was good (although the staff were slow moving) and the view from the breakfast area was beautiful overlooking the beach and water. The reception staff were nice and organized an airport transfer for us the day we were leaving. I forget the exact price but it was more expensive than just getting a tricycle but worth it to eliminate the stress. The AC in the room worked well and there was a tv with plenty channels for when we wanted to relax pre-dinner. I would say this hotel is on the pricey end for what it is but we also traveled during peak season when the rates were higher.

Simply beautiful

Wonderful is my word to descrive this charming boutique hotel situated in station 1. Whoever is looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in the turistic Boracay.Staff very kind and helpful, rooms spacious and clean and most of all the excellent Madam Irma the director of the hotel a beautiful lady that helped to made our holiday so delighted. We highly reccomend this hotel.

LOVELY HOTEL, GREAT SPOT AND FRIENDLY STAFF

I spent 8 nights in Punta Rosa and I enjoyed it all along. The team is welcoming and always willing to help, Mrs Irma is really nice and open the doors of this small and cosy hotel for you to just relax. The room was lovely, well cleaned everyday, good BF in the terrace with an amaizing view, 20 min beach walking to Station 2 where all the mayhem is,(5 min in Tricycle if needed), there's plenty of options all around as well but this is still a pretty quiet spot of the Island, which is really worth it if you want to relax. I highly recommand the place and I will book it again next time.

Sun Beach & great service in Boracay

We just finished our family holiday in Punta Rosa ( Boracay) located at the end of Station 1 on white beach .... prime location for quiet and family time and a chance to walk on the beach to go for entertainment or activities (aquatic or otherwise).
The staff is amazing and any request from guests is their top priority....
we had a premier suite with a wide balcony and could not believe how much space ... 2 bedrooms with respective bathrooms and outside terrace bamboo bed for relax ... or dinner at the table ... with beach vista or sunset according to the time of day .... cute restaurants and bamboo beach bar next door for a relax time ... along with access to the beach ... soft powdery sand from coral (no burning sensation on feet) ...
The atmosphere is always relaxed and you go in shorts everywhere everyday anytime .... total beach holiday....
Wow can't wait to come back !
