What People are saying

Very comfortable chalet with good facilities and location

Martin Non 17/03/2017 19:29

I stayed here for a snowboarding/ski holiday in March 2017 and it was very good good all round.

15 of us crammed into 2 of the 3 bed apartments and while I was a bit apprehensive that it would be big enough. I was right to a certain extent however it was not as bad as I had thought. While the sofa beds do let the place down a bit, they are probably big enough for kids but a fully grown adult sleeping on one of them for a week may not be ideal. This along with the staff not being very generous with the toilet paper would be my only negative comments.

Other than that the location was pretty good (about a 5 or 6 min walk to the bus stop/les houches gondola) so very accessible to the town and skiing lifts. It is also about a 15-20 min walk into Belleuve so if there are no bus it wont take ages to get back.

The facilities in general are very good with the pool, sauna etc. Very relaxing after a day on the slopes.

The staff were very friendly and one of them even brought one of our party to the hospital after an injury on the slopes.

The place was clean when we arrived and we had to clean it before we left. Not a deep clean just make sure it wasn't dirty.

There are towels for everyone on arrival however these will be what you will be using for the length of your stay. I think some of our group got some extra towels at reception also.

Overall I would recommend this chalet and I would come back and stay again.

Half term Ski Trip

IHammy69on 14/03/2017 14:10

We recently spent a week here with another family, with the majority of people being complete Ski novices. The residence is about 400-500 metres from the main gondola lift but this is a bit of a treck when you have a number of young children who are new to skiing and you have to carry the equipment! It is located 200 metres from the Piou Piou club though which was great for our 5 year old!

The accommodation we booked accommodated 8 but this did mean 2 on sofa beds in the lounge however overall it was clean and spacious enough for us and equipped to a reasonable standard that we could self cater when we chose to.

The pool/Sauna etc facilities are excellent and really help to make the stay for all of us. They are well kept and very clean and despite the fact they are used by all there was plenty of space.

TIP!!! Although you have an onsite ski locker there are some lockers available at the Gondola lift for a reasonable fee which means you don't have to carry all of your equipment to it daily which is a god send with Children!!!

Overall I thought this was well located and great accommodation and would definitely return

Family holiday

We visited here during February half term. The location is great if you're planning on skiing in les houches and the bus transport is very reliable and easy to use. During our stay we attempted to eat in a few times in order to cut costs, however I would say the cooking facilities are not great, the oven was very difficult to use with no instructions and it took us 1 hour+ to cook chips. There was lack of amenities and you will be required to buy the basics e.g. Salt/Pepper/oil/milk. The receptionist was very unhelpful with all questions regarding apparent amenities or ski passes and travel. She had to google everything which we could have done our selves. The apartment stated that it slept 6, however two of these are a sofa bed in the middle of the kitchen/living area - which proved difficult when we tried to socialise in this area. The pool/spa area is great especially after a long day skiing , however I would avoid school holidays as when we were there we had a lot of children in the steam room/sauna/jacuzzi which made it very difficult to relax. Overall this is a good location however the chalets are very small with very little amenities (only one toilet between 6) and the cooking facilities are awful. I would recommended for couples if they're willing to eat out most nights however 4 or more people is not appropriate.

Excellent residence

This franchise offers a very good level of services and the staff is very kind. The apartment was clean with a fully comprehensive equipment. The pool/sauna/ hamman facilities were clean and nice to relax.
The positive of this location is small chalets with a nice view of l'Aiguille du Midi in a quiet environment with good indoor/outdoor car parks. Chamonix and many outdoor activities and visit are close.
The downside of this place is that it is a bit remote from the shopping area and requires either the use of common transportation (buses) or a car.

Small but adequate

Philip Ron 21/01/2017 08:39

Family of 5/6 stayed for a weeks skiing.

BEWARE that the underground car park costs extra but there is other parking nearby so it's not really a problem.

It is only 10 minute walk to the Prarion chairlift, but this could prove a problem with younger children and ski equipment!

The "free wifi" is extremely slow and with tech savvy kids, it becomes frustrating that it keeps disconnecting every few minutes and your left trying to log back in. A good cheep EU data plan would be a must for anyone wanting to stay in communication with the outside world.

The pool complex is adequate at best. The pool was extremely cold throughout our stay. The Hot Tubs were more Warm Tubs but the steam room and sauna were perfect for repairing the body after a day on the slopes.

We keep coming back to Les Houches for skiing. It's small, quiet and family friendly. Over the past 10 years we have stayed in most places in the town. Would we return to CGH? If the price was right, yes.
