What People are saying

Poor stay

Tony Pon 09/07/2017 23:14

We have stayed here before and had an enjoyable time, however the place is not as was,it is very poorly run and expensive for what you get.
If you book be prepared for a shock, they will charge you £134 for car parking for two weeks despite your invoice saying you are fully paid up.
Staff claim not to speak English and the pool is the only thing there.
Parasols around the pool consist of three partly broken ones, the rest are completely broken so,if the sun comes out you will bake.
It cost us £1800 for two weeks and we were expected to make our own bed on arrival and change the bedding after one week,if you have the room service it's another extra you have to pay for.
Never again

Idyllic half-time escape

We booked a duplex for three nights during half term thinking it would be an easy short break being so close to Calais. To be honest my expectations were not that high - we just needed an easy break and the proximity to the beach sold it to us.

We had the best time.

We were in a beach facing room which most rooms seem to be and the duplex rooms are on the top floor meaning views from the bedroom and balcony are just beautiful. There is something about opening the curtains to the sea right there to aid relaxation...

We were blessed with excellent weather which meant the outdoor pool was an unexpected possibility much to the excitement of the kids. We were on the beach every evening too.

The facilities were great - the duplex had both upstairs and downstairs toilets - one with bath and shower, one with shower cubicle. The kitchen was well enough equipped for a short stay - might have struggled with only a combi oven for a long stay - but there are loads of eating out options nearby in easy walking distance.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The decor was really attractive and on theme being so close to the sea. There was plenty of storage. And the beds were really comfortable. Wins all round! We were there before high season so it was well occupied but not madly busy which I am sure made a difference to the quality of our stay.

We would definitely consider returning for another short stay as Le Crotoy is so we'll placed not only for nipping over the Channel but also for exploring the local area. Loads to do within an hour's drive so plenty of reasons to come back now we discovered this little gem.

Had more expectations

Since we are used to P&V standards, we expected better apartments. Surely the locaion is amazing on the sea front with excellent view of the bay. Appartements are very small and need some renewal. The residence is small in a calm area especially in this time of year. Covered pool is a great advantage for children since the village is almost empty and no activities around.

Great spot by the sea from which to explore the Somme region

Central in the small seaside town of Le Crotoy, this residence has apartments with sea views if you book correctly. The apartments for 4 are small (double room - comfortable double bed - and two sofa beds in lounge) - just right for 2 in fact! Balcony has enchanting views across the pool and beach, out to sea with Cap Hourdel in the distance. Indoor pool very useful for a winter stay (but it shuts at 7:30pm). Reception by day are very helpful and there is a good range of services although we didn't use them. Basement car park charges £7.50 per night but also takes bikes for free.

7 nights - sae view - luckky with the weather

We spent a week here in a duplex apartment on an end over looking the sea. It is a great place and the pool is a great addition. The hotel were very accommodating with our bikes and the reception staff spoke excellent English. The upstairs rooms were a bit hot because the windows don't open very far. There are a few complaints on here about dirty kitchens etc. I think this is because the hotel want to charge 50 euros to clean the kitchen for you at the end of your stay, you can opt to do it yourself but obviously not everyone cleans up and they probably don't check this!
We were lucky with the weather and sitting out on the balcony watching the tide rushing in\out and the sun setting was very nice. I should think it's a bit 'grey' without the weather. The town isn't very big but there are all the required shops and lots of seafood stalls and shops. It's a good place to base yourself as Saint-Valery-Sur-Somme isn't far away and can be cycled to or you can go on the steam train. We also went to Amiens a couple of times. All-in-all a very relaxing holiday. :)
