What People are saying
too expensive for cheap quality of stay
Chaweeeesaon 03/08/2017 06:57Checked in here for business stay because we had a training conducted also in the same hotel.
We booked for two rooms, both deluxe, but the other is surprisingly bigger than the other. Ours was the smaller one.
The rooms seem newly renovated because of the smell of paint but the building surely looks old even from the outside.
Food was definitely expensive considering it is just basic and taste was bland.
The toilet has a fuming smell of drainage even with the exhaust on.
Toiletries provided was just shampoo and soap.
Front desk staffs were not very approachable, the restaurant staffs were.
Venue for the training was the pearl room. We were almost 70 persons but the venue was definitely small for our number.
Pitiful!
Mark Fon 25/06/2017 09:49Worst hotel I've ever paid for! Dark, dingy, deceitful! No wifi the first 24 hours. The a/c didn't work well and made so much noise at night I couldn't sleep. The reception staff were pleasant enough but acted like they were used to many complaints.
Awful hotel the worst i've ever been in
German Oon 16/06/2017 10:52i stayed in an unrenovated room on the 4th floor on the night of 6th June
the bed was 2 singles tied with plastic to make a double size bed
wifi didn't work
mouldy shower.
The staff were nice though, polite & helpful.
Would not recommend to anyone at all.
An absolute dump
Nice Rooms
Charles Lon 04/02/2017 09:00This is the third time I stayed there. They had done some remodelling and the rooms are nice, if a bit small. They were pricier this time. Excellent Internet, signs of a good upgrade. Staff is friendly and helpful, the location is good, fairly close to Ayala Mall, a half an hour walk. The only problem was the lack of adequate hot water in the rooms. The sink had no hot water, and the shower was warm. They also don't provide hot water heaters in the rooms, so shaving was problematic.
A bit deceptive.....
grusan0on 30/08/2016 19:30The second of my two hotel stay in Cebu turned out to be not as good as the first. Location wise, it was located on a shortcut to General Maxilom Blvd., so it wasn't on the quietest of streets. But if you like to walk, it wasn't that bad, as it was only about a 15-20 min walk to Robinson's Mall and Market, and the other night spots along General Maxilom Blvd. There was also a Fooda Supermarket about a 10 min walk from the airport. Additionally, there is a Philippine Airlines office that is also about a 10 min walk away. And if walking isn't your thing, you can always hop on a jeepney to get to where you're going. And jeepney travel is easy once you learn the number system of the jeepney's. The room was spacious, with a fridge that kept drinks cold, but here' where the deception came in. The room didn't look like the room that was advertised. Not that that is a deal breaker, but don't mislead prospective guests,. The bathroom was a little small, but it was clean and tidy. The wi fi was, though the same could not be said for the tv and phone signals. There is a café/restaurant, but if eating elsewhere is your thing, there are a number of eateries surrounding the hotel easily within walking and jeepney distance. Despite it's shortcomings, I would definitely stay at the Richmond again, as the staff there is great and very courteous.
