Get what you pay for.
Tom Hon 18/06/2017 03:37We needed a place to sleep, that's all. We paid less than $70 so we didn't expect much. We didn't get much. It was funny, they still have a sign up for a pool and the pool has been filled in for quite some time. The room, well, the curtains were worn and had holes and tears in them. The bathroom sink had cracks in it and the cold water faucet handle broke when my wife turned on the water. Wifi was only accessible from the lobby. The TV was ancient and was blurring has hell. The bed was clean and comfy, that was the good.
Nice place in a convenient location.
thebarkingspideron 02/10/2016 02:25My friend and I stayed here for three days whilst visiting the Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale. I was pleasantly surprised, as the price was very reasonable, and the hotel was a clean and spacious building, and the rooms (with en suite bathrooms) were fine. It's next to a shopping area, so we bought food and drink and brought it i back to the rooms. There was breakfast in the morning, but only coffee, muffins etc, but we weren't expecting anything anyway! The staff were helpful, and directed us to the town centre and told us the best places to go. Yep, I'd come here again!
Stay only if it's your last option
Oz-frenkelon 01/10/2016 15:28Hangers & taps ripping of the wall, toilets not connected to the floor... This place is falling apart.
The breakfest was as minimal as it gets.
At least there's a good mexican restaurant nearby.
Stay here only if you have no other choice
Down and Out in Clarkesdale
Graham Fon 02/05/2016 15:09Visited Clarkesdale for The Juke Joint Festival and the only hotel I could find nearby was this one. I now know why.
The hotel is rundown without any redeeming features. The Reception are is dull and drab, but better than the rooms. Our room did not have a functioning shower, a couple of lights did not work and the room was not serviced on one day. Wifi is only accessible from the Reception area and the TV's are circa 1980.
I suppose the best you could say for it , is it would be a great setting for a lowlife movie.
If it's bad for guests, I cannot imagine how it must be to work there!
Avoid at all costs
charleyfarley52on 25/04/2016 15:13This was the only place I could book for the recent Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale. It has to be the worst hotel I have ever used; disinterested staff; questionable cleanliness and groups of people resident on the second floor sleeping in the corridor - I can only conclude that it was being used for the temporary housing of displaced people.
Friends who also stayed in their own rooms on this trip complained of failure to service rooms; a lack of towels and dirty rooms.
