The room didnt look like the picture (which I wanted it to) but it was still nice, comfortable and clean!

Matchgirl9542on 11/09/2017 00:34You can tell this is an older building, but the maintenance issues are all cosmetic in nature as far as I could see. The beds were very comfortable - if you've read my other reviews you'll note I have a problem with heel pain a lot, I didn't experience that with these beds. The room was very, very clean, and everything worked as it should, and there was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The owner and staff are wonderful and kind, and accommodated my request for a first-floor room. The breakfast was fantastic, actual hot food like scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. The only (mild) complaint I have is that the pillows were small and flat, but they gave us extras when we asked. The location is also great - there is a Krystals and a public library both within walking distance, and a gas station just up the road. And it's very close to the interstate and very easy to find. For the price, it can't be beat.
Excellent Service - Great Innkeeper and Staff
pssunriseflon 15/08/2017 21:18The Econo Lodge in Macon was everything that I needed for this particular stay: a clean, comfortable room, clean bathroom and showers, and a cozybed. The night clerk that checked us in was excellent, and the proprietor, Sanjay, was very accomodating. It is clear that he takes pride in his hotel, as he was working hard to improve the grounds as I was checking out. At this price point, the hotel is hard to beat. Thanks Sanjay
Great Place at a Great Value
Kelly Don 29/06/2017 16:04Stayed here the night before my MCAT, and loved that it was only 2 minutes away from the testing location. It was a comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again. Also loved that it was really close to many food places.
Horrible hotel
Scott Con 11/04/2017 00:01The experience began with not being able to open the room door. The card key turned the light green, but mechanically the door would not open. The clerk gave us a different room. Carpet was stained and very dirty, walls were scratched and stained, the blanket on the bed was severely worn and had a huge cigarette burn, there was a used tissue on the floor under the desk, the chair and curtains were stained, and there were several cigarette butts behind the night stand. The heater was either on or off. It would not adjust cooler or warmer. Trash was scattered all over the parking lot.
