Oasis in a snowstorm
mawa6on 22/11/2016 03:14I was trying drive home from Geneseo and the roads became impassable. I remembered this place from a former visit to Geneseo and was thrilled that I could make it there. The staff was very understanding and I was given a nice room. There was a restaurant with great food and a bar. Service was excellent!
Easy stay for busy travelers
JSinDCon 11/08/2016 21:33The Rodeway Inn in Lakeville is an old hotel, but not one that looks like it's falling apart. It's basic accommodations for anyone looking for a good, clean hotel that is an easy on and off the highway. The rooms are spacious and quiet, and include a TV, fridge, microwave, coffee pot and complementary wifi. We were traveling with a baby and the hotel provided a complimentary play pen for her to sleep in. There is a pool and a restaurant that is attached to the hotel. The hotel provided vouchers for the already affordable restaurant in lieu of the traditional continental breakfast.
Shameful and Shabby
Jackc30246on 21/07/2016 09:07If you are looking for a motel with: a 25 year old TV, windows with pealing paint, bathroom fixtures installed during the New Deal (1930s), toilet in need of repair, no closet, no coffee, shabby 2nd hand store wood furniture, torn upholstery fabric on chair, a maintenance man no where to be found, and a broken lock on the door, then this place is for you. The other reviewers of this place must have it confused with a good motel someplace else.
Very pleasant surprise!
audreywitkoon 08/07/2016 21:36When one books an economy hotel, one doesn't (or shouldn't) expect much. This hotel is definitely an exception to that rule! I found the accommodations the cleanest of any hotel I have ever stayed at! And that includes very 'upmarket' national chains. My room had a refrigerator and microwave. The air conditioner was great even during extremely hot days we experienced. Molly, the General Manager, was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. She made my stay incredibly pleasant. I will definitely be returning next year. And the restaurant on site was unbelievable. Every meal was absolutely delicious. You could tell that the food was being prepared by someone with a passion for what they were cooking.
Rundown and needing updating
Arlene Don 14/06/2016 02:14Don't be misled by other reviews, this hotel was not pleasant. The beds had stained bedspreads which I detest and stained and worn furniture. Other furniture was chipped and worn and old. Bathroom fan in ceiling was noisy and required cleaning. Wifi was unreliable especially in the morning. The only pro was the amount of TV stations offered and a microwave and mini fridge in room. Will not return.
