What People are saying

Great rooms, airport service, but not-so-great location

StephMcCafon 28/07/2017 14:38

The rooms are very nice - clean, nicely appointed, and a good size. The only downside is that there was no bathtub in our bathroom, just a shower.

My husband and I took advantage of the park-and-fly service, which was less expensive than paying for airport parking and independently booking a night in a hotel.

Location-wise, the hotel is on a very busy street, especially if your room is on that side of the hotel (which ours was). In addition, there are no restaurants within view which makes a quick stop for food challenging (we asked the shuttle driver and ended up at a moderately expensive Italian restaurant within walking distance).

Overall, the hotel is good. The rooms are great. The 'park and stay' service is a plus. I would not, however, choose to stay here if I were on vacation to see the city of Boston itself. Other hotels cater to the sightseeing visitor much better.

Nice hotel

We stayed here courtesy of our airline after they cancelled our flight. There is a free shuttle to and from Logan airport. Hotel was very nice, newly refurbished and decorated. Room was lovey and clean, with a huge bed and plenty of comfy pillows. Bathroom was clean and water was very hot. There is a safe in the room and an iron and board and a hair dryer, plus liquid soaps and shampoo but no fridge or microwave. Free coffee and hot water are available but ran out early evening and the receptionist was at a loss about how to refill the machine. Rooms at the front of the hotel face a very busy highway so we got one at the back where it is quiet. Unfortunately, our room was located directly beneath reception and all night long we were disturbed by the sound of footsteps and dragging suitcases as people checked in and out, Neighborhood was fine and there is a Mexican, Italian and Chinese restaurant within easy walking distance, plus two grocery stores. Dominos Pizza also delivers. Revere Beach is just a 20 minutes walk away and well worth a visit. Only drawback as far as we were concerned - apart from being in a room beneath reception - is that they don't do breakfast,

Some outstanding neighborhood stops nearby. If you like lobster

John Mon 24/07/2017 18:48

We arrived from overseas at 5 pm. The shuttle provided by the hotel was a phone call away. It took about 25 minutes. The room was clean and smell free. It was actually a big room. With a nice lounge chair. The motel is older. Rooms are older. Nothing that nice. But the linens were clean. With friendly staff. After staying in very expensive Iceland/ affordable Scotland, here are my favorite things in and around the hotel that make it a worthwhile stop: 1) beer/wine/liquor store right across the street 2) hand tossed pizza delivered by Luigi's Pizerria 3) morning breakfast 3 blocks over ( in a neighborhood) at a little place called BW's Grill 4) finally Pine River Fish Market (opens 9am)... Where after breakfast; we stopped to pick up and have packed 5 nice fresh lobster. We carried these home on a 12 pm flight ( their shuttle leaves to the airport on the hour). All this was walking distance to the hotel. You can't beat it. We had our pizza and beer. Watched TV. Got up and did the breakfast (crab cake omelets). It was nice to be back home. The neighborhood reminded me of milltown USA. Blue collar houses. I hope our review works for you.

construction noise

edolphson 24/07/2017 15:31

I asked for a late checkout and that was easily accommodated. We were woke up at 8 am though due to construction right above our room. No warnings that this would happen. There is no breakfast at this place but they do give you free lemonade, coffee and tea. Newly redecorated. Had to tell them how badly the bathroom door stuck. Shower is barely enough room to turn around in. If you are on the bottom floor the AC is above your head and you have to look at the mirror to figure out how to work it. There are no elevators which is a pain with luggage. We were able to walk to Revere beach with no issues. The airport shuttle was great.

Bring Ear Plugs

AmberCOSon 06/07/2017 17:12

We needed an inexpensive place to stay overnight before a transatlantic flight the next day and Rodeway Inn seemed to fit the bill.

The Good: Within walking distance of Revere Beach. Shuttle to/from airport. Friendly front desk staff. Room was nicely decorated.

The Bad: The place is dirty. They don't even dust off the decorative tables sitting in the hallways or vacuum the carpet in the common areas. Even the shuttle was filthy, inside and out. This made me wonder how thoroughly they actually clean each room.

Our room faced the main street and it was NOISY. Lots of semis traveling up and down the road all night. Obviously no soundproofing at all because it felt like they were driving right through our room. There was also a street light or something right above the window to our room so it was extremely bright even with the blinds closed. Thankfully, we had brought ear plugs and sleeping masks; otherwise, I don't think we would've been able to sleep at all.

When we were there, it looked like they were doing some renovations so hopefully that will take care of some of the issues we faced. But next time, we'll spend the extra money on a nicer hotel.
