DIRTY!!!
William Mon 19/07/2017 22:41We checked in and went to the room parking was limited. We opened the door to see nothing was done after last person left, bed was not made towels on floor. Asked for new room or have this one cleaned we were told this could not be done and there was no housekeep there. We did not stay was told would not be charged but they did and refused to refund. All we got was a letter of apology.
Basketball Tournament for Granddaughter
kastbrownon 11/07/2017 15:19Absolutely would never stay here again. I can say the room was clean and that is it. Outside of hotel needs much updating. Dirty parking lot, stained stairs, did not even eat the breakfast. When we arrived late, no towels in room, blow dryer did not work. Parking in the far back side of hotel and rooms in the front. Did not feel safe at all to walk to the Expo Center. Looks like long term guests. All I can say is felt very unsafe. Would have left the first night, but, every hotel was booked for the tournament. Have stayed in Rodeway Inns before, but, not now. Absolutely would not return.
Walking distance to Churchill Downs
S Son 23/06/2017 19:35We stayed here for the Kentucky Derby for the second time this year. This is a motel and a little weathered, but otherwise okay. Shower has good water pressure and plenty of vanity room. I would recommend a room on the second floor as we stayed on the first floor and we could hear the people in the room above us all night. Also, if you are looking for a quieter room, you may want to request a room that does not face the airport. Rooms facing the airport also face the expressway and are a little noisy. I did not eat the free breakfast, but it did look ample. Customer service before the trip and at the hotel was extraordinary...everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Cost was $350/night, which is VERY reasonable for Derby weekend....other hotels can go for $400-$600/night and up. Walking distance to Churchill Downs (approximately two miles) with a few bars and an Arby's on the way. Lyft ride to Churchill Downs was approximately $7.00.
Great for Derby Weekend!
katpilchon 29/05/2017 01:16This was a great place to stay when going to the Kentucky Derby! The price was cheap (not that cheap...all prices are increased on Derby weekend), but definitely a more reasonable price than most places. The room was spacious and clean. There was even free breakfast! We took an Uber to Churchill Downs early in the morning, but we're able to walk back to the hotel (it's not too far away). Front desk staff was nice. We found the hotel to be safe and quiet. Would definitely recommend this place to all Derby-goers!
Nice place to stay
Jacob Don 29/05/2017 00:28The beds are amazingly comfortable! We got a non smoking room and didn't smell any smoke. The showers are amazing!! One of the best showers I have taken in a long time. Staff was friendly. Our room was very clean. My only complaint would be the planes flying so close it wakes you up several times throughout the night, but that's to be expected renting a hotel right by the airport. I would give this room a 4/5 only because the price was kinda high for that hotel but I guess it's because of the location. AND ALSO THEY HAVE NO MICROWAVES AND REFRIGERATORS.. But other than that I was happy with my stay. I read the reviews from others and was kinda nervous but there are no bugs like some have stated. All around good experience and would definitely stay there again!
