Jimmy Gon 10/06/2017 04:44We are fans of this chain and have stayed in several in different cities in the Midwest. However, this property has drawbacks. I could be wrong, but I swear there is in no elevator on this two-story property. I walked forever to find the ice because it was located on the first floor. None on the second floor. Tissue box was empty in the room. Because I had already walked at least 1/4 mile in the halls looking for ice, I decided to call the front desk and ask for the tissue to be brought up. It never happened. Looked like the receptionist was all alone and could not leave to bring it up. If so, stock the rooms with extra stuff because it is not acceptable to ask your guests to come down for something that should have been in the room.
great stay
Sharon Hon 01/06/2017 22:01Had to stay overnight because our children and grandchildren ran in an ATV race. Couldn't have picked a better place. Short trip to the track, easy to find, and lovely rooms. Next time the race is in Mt Pleasant we will definately stay here.

Julian Don 12/05/2017 04:10This is a great place to stay. I travel all of Iowa, and whenever I'm in the southeast corner I try to stay at this AmericInn. Staff is excellent, rooms are clean and comfortable, beds are firm. It has everything I like and more, so I make an effort to stay here. I have recommended it to coworkers and friends.
Amazing whirlpool tub room!
kmbrown021393on 08/05/2017 16:27My husband and I stayed in the whirlpool tub room this past weekend and it was truly one of the best rooms we have ever experienced. It had a beautiful look and exceptional amenities. The bed was excellent and the floor space was significant.
Horrible night staff
Teresa Mon 03/04/2017 18:49The night staff was horrible, rude and did not offer any help when trying to locate a taxi. Instead they called the police. They could have looked in the local phone book, or known what was available to their guests and informed the guests that this town had no taxi service. It was rude and very embarrassing. I would never recommend this hotel.
