No frills, clean, highway nearby but quiet enough. I'm here to see Nature, not hipsters, so on my way eastbound 😁
WiFi worked decently. The room numbers are hard to read at night when driving around the buildings. I'd stay again.

Reeked of Urine

I wasn't expecting the Ritz because I found a deal online for $71/night including tax. We had a 5:30am flight, so I wanted to be close to the airport and didn't want to spend a bunch of money for a room that we'd be checking out of at 3am. However, when we walked into the room (141) the smell of urine was so incredibly strong, it almost knocked me over. I was alone with my 6 yr old daughter and just put a smile on my face and hoped she wouldn't notice. But the second she walked in, she screamed "EWWW!" and put her hand over her nose. I probably should have walked back to the front desk and asked for another room, but I was exhausted from driving all day and had just finished lugging all our luggage to the room and I knew we'd be leaving in just 5 hours to head to airport, so I just sucked it up. Positives: The man at the front desk checking us in was very friendly and efficient and it has an (outdoor - in the middle of the parking lot) pool. Not anything fancy, but a hotel with a pool when you have kids is always a plus! Bottom line: wouldn't stay here again. But if you do stay here, do NOT stay in room 141.

Last minute check in after long drive; room 168 stank of stale cigarette smoke. We moved to room 265, which was better. We found out that breakfast services closed at 9 AM, so get up early folks! Furthermore, goodies are only for Quality Inn guests; Rodeway's stepchildren only get danish! Coffee was watery; no bueno. Bedside lamp was missing screwcover to turn on. Dirt cheap: get what you paid for

Like most links in the Choice Hotels chain, this one is architecturally unremarkable. But they've done a very nice job in creating a comfortable and restful environment in the rooms. And staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful (a special shout-out to Hayden and Zach). Hugely convenient to the airport, loads of parking, a MAX station just steps away, and van shuttle service. There's also a bike/running trail just right out the door.

Hotel is just on high way and near to Airport. The bed and pillows are very soft and comfortable. Sleep quality is good as there is hardly any noise inspite of the fact that it is very near to highway.. The bathroom and vanity were clean and functional. The free wifi worked very well. The corridors, especially near the staircases is in bad shape seems were not cleaned for  months.  All in all, I felt  comfortable in my room at the end of the day and had restful sleeps.

The hotel was without some practical amenities such as: blow dryer, fridge, conditioner (only a bunch of shampoo)?   However, I could get blow dryer. Only I was required to pick it from them n return.
The only issue I saw was the lack of elevator. The motel doesn't have many third-floor rooms and I got one and you need to carry all of  travel gear up two flights of stairs.

 
 There is no breakfast and there is no restaurant near by. There is  coffee in the lobby. Plus point is Pick up and drop off service to  PDX.

There is a bar called glasshouse tavern directly across road frommotel (like less than a 5 min walk.)

Bad part of my stay was opportunity cost they charged for last minute booking and I paid $118  for the room.
