Tired property gives you basics for basic price

All we wanted was clean, safe room and shower before morning transfer to airport. We got it. Breakfast items too basic to eat. Linens, towels, bathroom very clean. Staff pleasant. Carpet clean but edges of carpet weren't. Do not be confused by other sites that may indicate this motel offers free airport shuttle, as of this writing they do not.

I wanted cheap and I got it. It was clear that the room was not clean. All I had to do was to peer beneath the bed and other furniture to understand that. The small refrigerator was old and hummed a sour tune all night and day. While the water pressure in the shower was great with plenty of hot water, it was what I found upon my last night in the room confirming that something was truly amiss. Opening the door I found a couple of woman's somewhat intimate garments left there. While funny it was also startling.

I can say that overall the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. But do watch out for the random "business woman" assessing you as a potential client.

With 10 hours between connecting flights, I reserved this property due to the low cost. Was impressed upon arrival by how large and well appointed my King room was! Yes, the room was not recently redone, but was well maintained and clean. In the morning clerk Rick was most helpful in recommending transportation back to DTW.

This location was booked simply because they claimed to have smoking rooms, and even tho the reviews were mostly horrid, the pictures listed looked decent. Upon arrival, we were told that the rooms were all non smoking even tho the confirmation listed a smoking room! I was not pleased with this news but, was informed i could have a room in a 'smoking area' which would allow me to step outside and smoke. Long story short, i went to the assigned room, spent about 5 mins there ..the toilet seat didnt fit the toilet, the lights didnt work, the bed was filthy and the outlets wouldnt hold a plug for my phone charger. when i returned to the lobby i was offered another room. I responded, really, is it going to be any better...? and then he agreed to refund my four night charge. Im not all that difficult to please and understand that a budget hotel is just that however this place is the worst i have EVER seen in my travels and i am AMAZED it remains open. Im certain its the type of place you can rent by the hour. Unclean, unsafe, and in a horrible location. We were advised upon check in to make sure to lock our car... really...??? wow. what a dump, im sorry but there are no other words for this. These people should not be allowed to advertise pictures of rooms that dont even slightly resemble the rooms they have on site. The only good thing was the woman who was being chased thru the parking lot by a car, didnt get run over, and the refund was not a big fight. best advise...? find a super 8!!!!

This place has pre-damaged bedding and furniture which is nice so you do not need to feel badly when your heroin rig burns a hole in the comforter. One nice service was the constant circulation of the front desk mahout's mother asking interminably if we needed more towels. We found shampoo right where it should be, next to the mystery stain in the formica and not too far from the melted spot where a cigarette had once sat awaiting its owner while it burnt... forgotten... like the hopes and dreams of anyone ever checking into this hotel.
