Adequate...clean enough, limited food..good for pets...
clairann2000on 07/10/2016 16:26Well, the owner was on the phone and the office area was a bit of a shambles and NOBODY was there which was a bit spooky. The room was huge with a fridge and microwave and the dog loved the smells on the rug, but the smell of cheap disinfectant was very strong. The air conditioning worked but was super noisy. Room was fairly clean.
Breakfast is honey bun, cereal and coffee and it was served promptly. It is cheap...but I think maybe next time we will keep going.
No pleased
Christopher Dew... Ton 25/09/2016 01:04Horrible customer service. Spend the money to book else where. Ask if they had a laundry. The reply from the person was "who are you." With attitude. Mind you I just came from down the hall and he had seen me when I checked in. Then he says there's no laundry and asks what room I'm staying in. I have already checked in at this point. So, I ask why it matters what room I'm in, if all I was asking is if they had a laundry. He says "well I don't know you, I don't know if you're even booked here. "
Horrible customer service
Kkeekon 10/09/2016 00:19I made a reservation in July for a one-night stay on September 10, Rodeway Inn, Sweet Springs, MO. I called the hotel directly to make the reservation. Our travel plans had changed and I called the hotel at 4:00 September 9 to cancel. Only at that time was I informed that there was a 48 hour cancellation policy. Really? In sweet springs, MO?
This was the first I had heard about a 48-hour cancellation policy. I was on this choice hotel's website and it lists policies on the home page but there is no mention of a cancellation policy. When I told the representative that I was not informed of the policy, he basically said too bad, he would not cancel our reservation. I asked to speak to the manager, he stated he was the manager. I asked if he was the owner of the hotel and he told me it was not my business. I asked who I should speak to to register a complaint and he said nobody, and hung up on me.
I then called the choice hotels customer relations number to speak to a representative and was on hold over 16 minutes. I hung up and called the 800 number back to speak to someone in reservations and they were able to find our name and a reservation number, which I had not been given originally. I was informed that there was a 48 hour cancellation policy, I told him that was the problem, I was not told of the policy. He could not help me and referred me back to the customer relations area, which I called again, and was on hold for 6 min.
The lady who answered said there was nothing they could do, they had to follow the policy of the individually owned hotels. I asked her for the contact information of the owner, she stated I had to contact the hotel manager. I reminded her that the manager had hung up on me and refused to give me the contact information of the owner. She stated she could not register a complaint for us as we had not stayed at the hotel. She then offered to connect me back to the hotel manager, and promptly began that process, at which time I ended the call. You can't make this stuff up!
I feel like the victim of a scam. I have now been in contact with my credit card company fraud department and plan on disputing any charges, as this appears to be my only recourse.
I absolutely will not stay at a CHOICE hotel in the future. If there is a cancellation policy, it should be listed on the hotel's website under the POLICIES heading at the very least. At small-town hotels, they should be required to email policies to customers, for verification purposes, and give reservation numbers.
Keep on driving
Lori Won 08/09/2016 13:24Not worth stopping for keep on driving!!!!!! completely out dated dingy sheets and towels.one two towels for our room. WiFi is appently turn off during the night and doent come on till 6am. Breakfast not served early. And No milk and orange juice should not sit in a bowl of ice . How this is still connected to the choice program is BEYOND me. One bar of soap for two people that have been working all day doesn't cut it. Definitely won't stay again.
