What People are saying

We had a great time at Roe Park

Bob Hon 12/06/2017 10:51

The hotel is in a brilliant setting with great facilities. There was entertainment in the bar with a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room was really good with lots of space and a big, comfortable bed.
We didn't use the facilities as much as we hoped but we will be back for a longer stay sometime soon to do so.

Great stay

We stayed here on Friday night with our 4 year old son. The room was spacious and very clean. Ice machines located on 2 of the floors are very useful. Ordered breakfast to the room, arrived on time and was delicious. We received a bill to the room which wasn't ours but very friendly and helpful reception staff sorted it out without any problems. We visited the swimming pool which was a highlight for our son, changing rooms and facilities all very clean. A great stay and would definitely recommend to other families.

Great place to stay

Booked a 3 night stay for my elderly parents and they absolutely loved it. They've been before and always enjoy going back. Friendly and accommodating staff , clean comfortable rooms and great breakfast selection. Staff go above and beyond the call of duty.

20th Wedding Anniversary Getaway

Beverley Mon 10/06/2017 09:44

We phoned to book the Roe Park Resort for our 20th Wedding Anniversary for 2 nights Mid Week. My husband informed the receptionist of this but when we arrived at the hotel there was no acknowledgement of this at all! No little personal touches on arrival at the room! Quite disappointed as any other Hotel we've stayed in on special occasions give you a free upgrade or some bubbly & Chocolates! Check in was extremely efficient. We got to our room via the lift & had a bit of a trek down the corridor to our room. The room was fine. Furniture a bit tired. Bed was two singles pushed together!!!

We had a meal in the Coach House on the first night. We ordered Caesar Salad & Prawn Cocktail for starters. Both dishes came on very hot plates! Cold starters on Hot plates is just wrong!! My husbands Prawn Cocktail sauce had started to melt & my Caesar Salad dressing had also started to split & go oily because of the warm plates. We couldn't finish our starters & should have sent them back but didn't want to make a fuss so continued to eat them. The main courses were not much better, pretty tasteless & bland. We didn't order dessert! We did have a Beautiful view of the grounds from our table though! We had heard & read so many good reviews about the Restaurant, we left feeling quite disappointed.

We really enjoyed the leisure facilities at the Hotel. The pool, Jacuzzi, Steam room & Sauna were great. So relaxing. We used the pool 3 times while staying at the Hotel & couldn't fault it. Staff were very friendly, changing area was spotlessly clean. Lovely fresh white towels supplied. Nice filtered water by the poolside & comfortable loungers to relax on. Also magazines to read. Mostly Golfers mags though. A few magazines for the ladies i.e. Ulster Tatler or Northern Woman would have been nice to flick through.

We enjoyed the breakfast both mornings. Great variety of fruit, yogurts, cereals & breakfast juices. Also good variety of fried food if you wanted it! Just one point though the toaster machine is a nightmare. Toast should be brought fresh from the Kitchen with your tea & coffee! Standing queuing to toast your own bread is not good! I put two slices of bread through & it wasn't toasted enough & put it through again & it came out burnt. There were at least 3 people in the queue behind me complaining. I have to mention the Coffee! Sorry but it was vile. Couldn't drink it!

We really enjoyed walking round the grounds of the Roe Park Resort & taking in the Beautiful scenery! It will be a while before we return to the Hotel again. We would recommend it to family & friends as it is good value for money!

We stayed here for one night, in a family room. The room was ok but not overly clean, especially in the bathroom. In the restaurant there were loads of flies on the windowsill, which would indicate it hadn't been cleaned for a few days. Breakfast was ok bit not amazing, nice sausages though. Quite a few parts of the hotels need freshening up, especially in the restaurant. Would not stay again.
