Overrated and overpriced

I am absolutely sure that the hotel was not a good example of a four-star hotel. Beside this, we did not find anything romantic there as the name of the hotel lets you assume. First, the reception was a very small area. I am wondering how do they serve bigger groups or rush-hour customers. We stayed in a so-called budget room, but if hotel’s management supposes, that it is a four-star accommodation then even a budget room must be comfortable with all needed facilities. Staying in a four-star hotel’s budget room must be a pleasurable experience, but it was like a nightmare.
Not only the bed was uncomfortable, also the pillow was terrible: thin like a sheet of a paper. Room itself was very tiny and extremely hot. There were a small roof window and an air conditioner but only above the bed. If you wish to be healthy you cannot open the window or switch the conditioner on. The walls were without any sound isolation.
There was no closet in the room, only a hanger. In summer it`s not a big problem but how should one hang your clothes in winter or in muddy time?
A shower room was very basic and a bit worn-out, just with a cheap soap for all purposes. No shampoos or shower gel like a case in a four-star hotel should be.
Last I must talk about the minibar. It was very noisy, especially at night, but this is not a main problem. Main problem is that snacks and candies were just on the table not in the closed minibar, where they should be usually. There were no warnings that you must pay for these. There was even no price list in the room. Just think when somebody comes with children. First thing that they will see are snacks and candies laying freely on the table. Next morning, when we went down for check-out the first question in reception was “Did you use a minibar?” It`s clear that an inexperience of customers with children will be misused.
We have paied 60 euros for this inconvenience, which we consider an over-estimation for a Lithuanian small town. Fair price for this kind of room is 30-40 euros. A night before we stayed in Qubus Hotel in Lodz with exactly same money and we got a very comfortable night with excellence service and tasty breakfast. Before I stayed in Panevezys in hotel Smelyne. It was a little bit more expensive but was worth of it as the facilities are better and you get what you paid for.

Restaurant food is good; do not take ice cream.

navigation is weird here: stairs and elevators will not tell where to go to get to your room.

Very quiet place, no kids screaming, no loud guests, spa is very relaxing! Restaraunt is nice, food was delicious! Like that peace and atmosphere! Room was nice, clean but cold! Not that highest class, but introverts will love it!

We stayed in business class room. In my opinion, this hotel doesn't meet 4 star hotel standarts. The level of English and Russian language of the reception staff is disappointing...Very low. Room is nice, stylised in a manner of ancient times (they used to have watermill there hundred years ago) BUT it . M.kk but ñmb
Jjjcould be cleaner. But in common it is OK for 2,5-3 star level hotel. But our opinion was changed by the wellness zone: swimming pool, gym, steam bath and jacuzzi made our weekend, as well as we really enjoyed a rest in Etno spa they have in same building. But remember that it is for charge and order procedures in advance. We had a romantic bath for two and steam bath with scrubbing and ice refreshing :) there's a cozy rest place, where you can relax and have some tea, fruits etc. Massages are available, too. Restaurant is a very romantic, cozy place. The meal was great (we had a salmon), the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. Staff is polite and speaks English well.

Best value to stay in Panevezys

Best hotel in town. Recently changed a chef and updated restaurant menu into a better quality and choice, renovated terrace and improved level of service. Nice view to the old river and park.

Part of hotel is taken by spa and fitness center with swimming pool. Opened from 7am but if needed you may ask at reception to open it for you earlier.

Rooms are just ok with no luxury but everything you need.

Two issues: cold in rooms at winter season and almost no wireless signal at some rooms so better to clarify this during check in.
