Older style but lovely
Fraggleviewon 04/04/2017 08:27Stayed here for one night with my partner. Swimming pool/ Sauna Spa area was lovely. We had a suite and this was spacious with a whirlpool bath. Clean and balcony that caught the sun.
Went for dinner in the restaurant and this was very good food. Great selection of wine and beer, we had the Chardonnay which was very nice. Maybe a little slow bringing the wine to start with but overall a lovely dinner with attentive staff.
Breakfast was amazing. So much to choose from, cooked eggs, bacon, sausages. Cold meats cheese and salat. Amazing choice of breads/ rolls and cakes. As well as fruit, muesli, yogurt.
The hotel overall is for more of the older clientele rather than younger people. I think we dropped the average age to 70 in the hotel and that's only because we're 30ish! :)
Very family friendly, a few children about which was nice and the staff were very helpful to them.
Probably wouldn't comeback again but not because there was anything wrong just don't think that this is our style of hotel.

Sissy55on 15/09/2015 21:37We were here with family for an 80th birthday party and the weekend deal consisted of bed and breakfast for two nights with a three course dinner one night and seven course with all the trimmings the second night (the birthday party!). I think our room was standard (25) and was a decent size although just a shower, no bath. Complimentary bottle of water and sparkling fizz, which was a nice touch. We had a private room for both dinners and breakfast on the Sunday morning, which was nice (we were 13). There were two weddings on the Saturday and so the dinner service was not as professional as it could have been. Thankfully the birthday was on the Sunday when we had a much better team. Except for this one matter, we had a great stay, superb food and service to match. It's nicely and quietly located a short walk from the town/canal/lake and we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts are massive! it is a family run hotel and they really look after you well.
Great hotel with great service and facilities
Christian Son 04/09/2015 19:06This was our third time staying in this beautiful hotel. A family of four in a lovely room with living room and two bedrooms. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Dinner was excellent and service was exceptional. The hotel even serves its own beer, which is very tasty.
The kids loved the pool and the town of Bad Bederkesa is within walking distance.
Looking forward to our next stay already.
Wonderful Hotel
Ringhoferkon 02/09/2014 15:42not just that this hotel and its surroundings are really beautiful, but also i have to mention the staff. such a kind and nice personal is hard to find we found it just by accident, but it was the best decision to stay here. i wish we could have stayed longer. the restaurant is a must in the hotel, but save some place for the breakfast too, you won't be disappointed. just simply sad it is really really extraordinary!!! i just can recommend it
Not for a Business stay
Talal Hon 18/07/2013 18:08the purpose of my stay in this particular was to have a meeting in the nearby city of Bremerhaven and the company I was visiting suggested this hotel for my one night stay. Wrong choice if you are on a business trip as suggested by the name of the hotel. I don't want to sound negative about it but the size of rooms are too small for my taste to begin with as well as the lack of attention I was receiving in the restaurant for being maybe 'a loner' .. did annoy me. I did not have the chance to exploit all the amenities and spa offered by the hotel which other residents are raving about so I cannot judge them. Maybe you have to be on holidays or seeking a wellness break to enjoy the stay there but if you happen to be on a business trip and seeking a hotel in the area I recommend that you stay away.
