Charming hotel in the heart of the Altstadt
mahlerfan757on 29/05/2017 17:00I was in Osnabrück to attend an opera, and this hotel was within walking distance of the theater. I arrived at a time when the restaurant was closed; however, I was able to get something to eat at the DAVID Bar Garten. The friendly staff was very accommodating throughout my short stay. My room was older but clean and very spacious. The bath looked like it had been updated recently. The rate was reasonable and included free Wi-Fi service and a breakfast buffet which was quite satisfying. The hotel is very near top sites such as the Rathaus, the Marienkirche, and Theater Osnabrück. Will be back again!
Nice hotel perfect restaurant
Flemming Hon 30/01/2017 23:59Hotel i really nice rooms are big and clean. Rooms are or can be a little difficult to climb to, as there are menny stairs.
Breakfast is great, and the bar has really good food.
But the restaurant is certanly a highligt.

Warm welcome on an icy night
PilgrimMinon 18/01/2017 20:51Osnabruck was supposed to be a quick, convenient stopover on our drive from Hildesheim to Amsterdam. A serious ice storm which started as we left Hildesheim at 5 pm and which closed the highways ended the "quick" part of the plan... over three hours later, thanks to our rental car's GPS, we straggled into Osnabruck into... Walhalla! Yes, the restaurant was still open; yes, there is indoor parking; yes, the cleanliness and comfort of the fully modern room was all we could wish for. We had an exceptional meal and though we were the last out of the restaurant, we were never rushed. We felt cossetted and pampered. All around, the staff here is wonderful. The next morning the ice melted and we spent more time than we planned exploring the old town of Osnabruck, of which this historic hotel is a highlight. The day could not have turned out better!

Everything was just perfect, wish we could stay longer in this lovely place!
Hotel is very central, in pedestrian zone but hotel has on site parking!
Staff were very helpful and everyone spoke good English....

Our German friend recommended us to stay here as we were invited to his family's Christmas lunch which was about 20 minutes from Osnabruck. We were struck by the history (the building was more than 300 years old!) and how well it was maintained. It was also on a street with lots of shops and restaurants close by, one does not need to wander far to either browse or shop! It was also close to historical buildings and sights; there is enough to entertain oneself. A hotel to rekindle any couple's romance!!!
