It was extremely hot during our stay and it would have been advantageous to have air conditioning in the room

dleapearceon 04/08/2017 14:20The Hotel Wilden Mann is celebrating it 500th year and it was a thrill to experience. The hotel is well maintained. The staff is extremely adept and courteous. The location is perfect to stroll among the old buildings, churches, canals, and bridges. And not as filled with large hotels. Our rooms were expensive but the most affordable offered. No air conditioning but the weather was cooler than usual so the fans were sufficient. No coffee service available in the rooms on on the floors. Some mattresses need to be reinvigorated (turned or replaced). All in all, being in such an important landmark and taken care of by a terrific staff made Hotel Wilden Mann the right pick.

helz mon 29/07/2017 15:19Lovely old hotel - close to everything. Staff were great & were upgraded to a superior suite - very nice. Had a great sleep & it was very quiet (surprising for such an old building). Would recommend staying there when visiting Lucerne.
A very good hotel
Colin Mon 29/07/2017 01:46An attractive and comfortable hotel staffed by very friendly people. The exterior appearance belies the quality of the decor and furnishing. Very close to the lake and all its amenities. Our room was more of a mini suite and in place of air conditoning we had two fans, which were necessary. Very good food, but a little on the expensive side, and although the terrace restaurant was less than half full the service was rather slow. There was some noise from the adjacent civil engineering work on the road drainage system, which did start rather early in the mornnig, but all things considered would definitely stay there again.
