Disappointing

We booked Deluxe Junior Suite, that was said to be with a balcony, Spa Bath and other facilities, but we there was none of it. The room is spacious, but the hygiene can be at a better level (lot of stains on bed sheets, old towels, etc.). Generally, this hotel needs a good renovation.
The garden and the restaurant outside are very good, with a lot of space for kids to play at.
Although this place is recommended by many people, I would consider some other place to rest on my way to Greece next year.

A decent stop over

Some 30 kms south of Skopje the capital of Macedonia, a couple of kms from the motorway, you find this hotel by a small lake. The first you notice is the beautiful scenery to the lake. Quick check in, though some what impersonal and without a smile. No elevator. An ordinary room without a balcony facing the lake. The air condition didn't work. A buffet breakfast with enough choices, but unfortunately no heating under the warm dishes and the fried eggs, sausages and bacon were cold. All in all still a good budget option. 

Pleasant Overnight Stay

This hotel was recommended to us as good place for overnight stay which we needed for our trip to and from Greece. It is a lovely place, a bit old, but clean, quiet and at great location. We stayed in an apartment which was large enough to accommodate the five of us (2 adults, 2 children and a toddler). It had large double bed, one sofa that could be pulled out and used as bed for our children, and we got a baby crib. Also, the terrace provided beautiful view of the pool area and the lake. We did not swim in either one, but the children enjoyed the playing areas nearby. Breakfast was modest, nothing really special, but we had lunch at the the restaurant outside, and dinner at the pool bar, and food was great at both places. There is free wifi available, but the signal was not that good in our room (the second floor). There is free parking available as well.

Great Location

We were part of a group of 12 that spent a week at this hotel while doing a volunteer build with Habitat for Humanity.

The location is excellent on the shore of the lake. The outdoor areas are particularly impressive, with large covered, uncovered patio and poolside seating. We enjoyed local wines and beer there on several occasions!

The room are a bit dated, but quite serviceable. Some days I questioned the thoroughness of the daily room cleaning, which seemed to be a bit hit and miss in the bathroom. However front desk and restaurant staff were always prompt, courteous, and very accommodating, and we were able to work through the gap between my English and their Macedonian.

One memorable morning I awoke to a fog covered lake at sunrise and spent the next hour photographing it and enjoying a coffee with the front desk staff person who was just ending his shift.

The only real negative point I have is about the prevalence of smoking in and around the hotel. Being from Canada I have become accustomed to smoke free hotels and public spaces, and the prevalence of smoking everywhere in Macedonia (and other Balkan countries) was a bit jarring. This is not unique to this hotel, but we certainly experienced it here and elsewhere.

I would happily return to this hotel.

Beautiful location, patio and entrance, but rooms are dated

This vacation hotel is about a 10 minute drive from Veles, and is on a nice, man-made lake with nice views of the valley and lake. The entrance to the hotel is amazing, with a huge covered patio and restaurant that looks out to the lake. This would be an amazing place to visit for a beer or a dinner in the warm summer months. The rooms are fine, but they have not been renovated as recently as the main lobby and entrance. The staff are friendly, but there are only a few that understand a little bit of English. In general, the English skills are better in Skopje than at this hotel. We stayed for a week and it was quite pleasant. There is certainly nothing of that quality nearby.
