What People are saying

Lovely

Alexandra Ron 03/04/2017 01:03

Romantic, quiet and charmy hotel in an old and beautiful building. The room was big, warm and clean. The village is really close to the airport and at 20 min from the centre of Stuttgart. Really good continental breakfast.

Forget about decent sleep

Room walls are so poorly isolated that I could hear other guests as if they were right next to me.
Not so clean as you should expect from German hotel. Night tables were really dusty when I arrived. After reporting it housekeepers cleaned them.

Far too better options available in neighborhood.

Good hotel near airport

If you are looking for a hotel with a bit of charm near the Stuttgart Airport, this is a good choice. Walking to nearby restaurants, good sized rooms (at least ours was very large) and ample breakfast. Watch out for those needing an elevator or need to have ample parking right out front. If those aren't an issue, you may enjoy this as much as we did.

Good B&B only.

Stayed here as it was close to the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre/Airport (less than 5mins).
The main building is lovely and old. We had room 306 which was on the 3rd floor of a separate building. Seemed like a mini suite. Walked into a little hallway with the bathroom, bedroom and dressing area all off it. It also had its own little balcony with table and chairs. Shame the table was dirty and only one cushion for the chairs, but still usable.
The room was lovely and spacious. The room came with a stocked(ish) mini bar. It's a shame they are only using it as a B&B as it would have been nice if they would have had a hotel bar. There must have been one at some point.
Breakfast was lovely. Typical German continental. Plenty of ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt, jams with various types of rolls and breads. Good selection of teas. Well worth €5 per head.

A place in decline

Uwe Don 03/12/2015 14:49

The house itself is fabulous, like a listed monument, and contains plenty of old/antique items. Unfortunately, it is in a vivid decline. The restaurant - once upon a time one of Germany's leading restaurants - is already closed.
The room was clean, but not spotless. The waste paper basket contained the refutes of the previous guests, the coat hangers in the corridor had been removed, with the screw holes left over, the curtain rod bent and come loose, the originally nice oak furniture spotted with patches of previous usage (water), and so forth. The dispenser for the bath foam was empty.
And the most obvious sign: the guest map also empty except of a folder for another Hotel, also in Stuttgart. ;-)

I was initially tempted to give two stars only, because the web site of the hotel projects something completely different. In the end, I gave what the hotel actually deserves.

The breakfast was separately, billed additionally, and very cheap at € 5, and astonishingly good, with a wide choice of items, buffet-style.
