I recently did a trip to Andamans with my friends and spend a night in port blair at Rose Valley. Its a beautiful location in the outskirts of port blair approx 10kms from cellular jail. Cottages are very spacious. Entire property is just amazing and even the view from restaurant. Food was super awesome. We were super happy to see that they have more number of female employees than men :)

Best itinerary would be reach port Blair from chennai- reach in the evening...visit cellular jail..light and sound show in the night is a must see show, stay overnight, take a ferry to havelock island next morning (ferry starts around 9am), spend 2 nights (radhanagar beach is the best beach in Asia! And extremely romantic with all shades of blue!...you will definitely miss me there:)) there are other beaches too but this one is the best, leave havelock on the third night for neel island (1 hour journey in a ferry)..holodayinn is an extremely nice hotel with private pools to the rooms (Can strike a good deal if booked in advance...you can book then for havelock also though we stayed in the cottage facing the beach. Stay overnight or 2 nights in neel..leave for port Blair, spend 2 nights, there are lovely museums there...must take the kids there...they would love it..visit elephant beach for under water activities...snorkelling, scuba, under water walk...back on back on the 7th day. Land transport is quite expensive though distances are quite less so negotiate well in advance with ranjit. He robbed us in that category. Most places will not have net connectivity, no place accepts cards and only 2 atms in port Blair none in other island..to prevent sea sickness carry domstal for kids, umbrella is a must carry as the rains are extremely unpredictable...most imp...booze is extremely cheap compared to bglr as there's no excise...vodka, Bacardi are single malt are a steal...2 bottles per adult allowed

I visited this property , end of Jan 2017. The property used to have great reputation, but now its in bad position. Things are not well managed. It looks like horror house. They have big pool , its not managed , broken tiles , everything seems very scary. The rooms are also Okay , they need renovation.
The main thing it too far from Port Blair , 20 Km away. You will find yourself in mid of no where. I was cheated by yatra.com , by including this hotel , at the last moment.
The food was also bad, bad quality.

I stayed in this during my Andaman trip jan 2017. Worst hotel, yatra cheated me with providing this stay. Its not even a 2 star property.

FAR FARRR from the main city. Just forget the outside world, once you arrive here in this hotel. No transport to visit nearby places for roaming, food, pics or even beach. It takes 30 to 40 mins to reach main city from here.

Pathetic rooms and room service - rooms are not good at all, even electricity cut was there for almost an hour in evening. I was shocked to hear that there is no power backup in this hotel. Room service never turned up in less than 2 hours and 4 phone calls even if you ask for drinking water.

Food was the worst they could cook. No taste no variety in buffet. The best thing was - 2 Choices as well. Either you eat this or you sleep hungry.

reception staff was helpful. They helped me to book a underwater walk.

Never recommend this to anyone.

Good resort but bad packed breakfast

The resort was good, nice rooms and a big swimming pool. The property was decently maintained. The packed breakfast was really bad. the first day we got sandwiches with the previous nights left over salad put in it and no boiled egg as promised. When we raised an issue about it and their response was to make the next days sandwich (bread and butter) the previous night and gave us stale sandwiches.
