Hotel Rovere
50DanielCon 11/11/2013 21:32Very friendly staff. The room was clean and in very good condition. Good selection for breakfast. Since we travelled with a little toddler, the availibility of a fidge in the room was pretty handy. Location of the hotel is very good because Ascona and Locarno are located close by. Lots of free parking space available infront of the hotel.
Enjoyed our stay
Glenn Hon 24/09/2013 17:18Friendly staff, with whom we could have a laugh and a joke. Looked after us well, with special thanks to Egon (the artist). Rooms clean and comfortable. Good choice of breakfast options; there was enough for everyone.
Relaxed in the bar and stayed for evening dinner a couple of times which was fine.
I never saw a swimming pool ( there was a paddling pool on the lawn !) but the gym and sauna were ok
Car parking was really handy and the location suited our needs for easy access to Locarno, Ponte Brolla, Ascona and the area in general. Everyone should go for a swim in the river at Ponte dei Salti near Lavertezzo.
Hotel Rovere in Losone
MEZ1958on 21/05/2013 15:09We had a good sized room. Very clean and quiet. The people at the reception were extremely kind and helpful. A nice breakfast with a good selection of things to eat was included. The location was good and at a convenient distance from both Ascona and Locarno. A big plus was having free parking which is quite unusual for Switzerland. Overall I would say a good value for the money and a hotel that I definitely recommend.
Losone hotel
MG67on 19/11/2011 19:11We spend 2 nights in Hotel Rovere this past August, very nice reception by the manager. Very helpful in everything from serving the complete breakfast with everything you need to pointing out restaurants in the area. I must say that our room was a bit small for 3 people, but very clean with everything we needed. Parking just outside the rooms, a bit loud at times but comfortable.
In addition I think Ascona was pricy for dinners so we drove just over the Italian border to a little town called Luino were we enjoyed the best pizza ever.
