Worse hotel I have ever stayed in, dirty, dirty, dirty . I was put in a room in the basement that could do with a proper clean, it was smelling of stale air, my view was a dirty brick wall. The fire alarm went off and staff just ignored it and when asked what was wrong there was total silence. There is no customer service, just ignorance. Do not be fooled by the pictures they show on their website, the place is filthy, Avoid this hotel as you will feel very depressed after booking in when you realise how dirty it is . There is know proper management just inexperienced no good for nothing robots standing around doing nothing. Please AVOID AVOID AVOID

Great location...poor standards

Just returned from a 1 night stay here. The hotel's location is perfectly situated opposite the pier and within walking distance to many bars, restaurants and shops. Our view from our bedroom was beautiful.

However, after checking in, we began to realise that the standards inside are quite poor. We are certainly not fussy when it comes to where we stay as we tend to just want to crash for a night so it takes a lot for us to pick up on poor things. These could not be ignored this time.

The room was filthy in terms of dust everywhere. Even the TV remote was covered. The bed sheet had mysterious brown stains on and the bed was solid! I actually woke up with neck and back ache the next morning. We were thankfully supplied with a fan due to the hot weather and no air conditioning but it was a hazard as there was no cover on it!

We were in our hotel room for a very short while whilst we got ready to go out and then get ready in the morning before check out. In this time, the fire alarm went off twice. There were no staff telling guests what to do when we got downstairs apart from somebody on check out shouting "It's a fault in the system." Shocking.

In summary, great location but poor standards in a run down hotel.

So... the beach is beautiful!!!!

Reading the reviews before booking we knew it wasn't going to be the "normal" 3 star hotel's you see. But I think with all the comment's and picture's we had seen I think we had the "best" room but still use best loosely. We stayed in 105 and there was no crack's or anything broken. Shame they didn't provide binoculars though for the TV. When we did book it we were asked what time would we be arriving, where would you like to stay so high or low floor and if you have any request's. Now we said between 10 and 11 a high floor and early check in. Not sure why they needed to know what time we would arrive as it made no difference as the receptionist said check in was at 3 and that was that, and we were on the first floor so head's up your request's are ignored. We only paid £82 and it was just somewhere to put our head's down not to stay in for the day so we tried to look at the positive and when your right next to the beach and in the town centre is was a brilliant location. If your wanting more for your money then this hotel is definitely not for you. If you want somewhere cheap close to the beach then this will have to do.

On arrival the staff of the day were at best average.
I was working on nights so was just needing a bed. When I was given my room, which turned out to be the smallest hotel room I had ever seen, I had to take one bag in at a time as there was no way I could get in with two.
Ok.
There was still no WiFi (temporarily unavailable)
The room was tiny
There was building going on right outside the window.
The vacuum cleaner obviously didn't work anywhere near the skirting.
The widow didn't stay up unless propped open.
Noisy, Dirty, Very tired, Mouldy bathroom.
Fixed temperature on the shower (hot).
Useless or apathetic staff.
The staff weren't all bad. The breakfast guys were quite helpful.
When I asked to change rooms, the night staff that I talked to in the morning was the worst. He actually said to me "well that is the room you booked" as if I would actually ask for the broom closet.
I had to stay there for four days.
Absolutely terrible.
Didn't unpack in that time as there was no room.
Pictures don't show the scum or the building noise.
I would not recommend this to anyone but, perhaps, it is better than the homeless had just outside the hotel.

Where do I start?
The reception staff were totally unhelpful
The room I was in was below ground with a view of a wall from the window
There was no plug for the bath
I asked about a packed type of breakfast due to starting work before the kitchen opened. I was told this was not possible, yet later found out sandwiches were supposed to be available 24hours a day.
There is no parking available to guests and surrounding parking only allows you to stay for two hours.
In the end I was beginning to envy the homeless who were sleeping in the nearby beach shelters.
This was without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
