Royal Belvedere Hotel

Just stayed here for one week for a family holiday. Our first all Inclusive holiday. Food and restaurant was lovely. Lots of choice. Restaurant staff very helpful and friendly. Bedrooms although quite small (4 of us in one room) were clean and beds changed every day. Beach fairly close but not great. Would definitely return to hotel.

Super time

Great facilities:pools, sports & amenities.
Animation team fab, particularly Federico, Francesco & Radion who were enthusiastic, friendly and fun!
Food of good quality, fresh and decent variety. Decent alternative evenings in the Greekabd Italian restaurants. Good choice of bars although evening entertainment is of mixed appeal.
Star Beach is a good day out at the bottom of the hill.
Really enjoyable time.

Fab family holiday in crete

I'm writing this review while still here, on arrival the reception staff were very friendly and we were told someone would show us to our room , another friendly member of staff greeted us to show us to room and helped with luggage , room is clean and the maids have been in every day with clean towels and sheets , beds are comfy also. The food in the main restaurant is good and varied choice , 2 snack bars by different pools and also serve a hot choice as well as snacks , fresh pizza was cooked in front of us and very tasty , worth the que, there are 5 cocktails included with all inclusive package. 7 pools to choose from , if not using the children's pools some are very deep. Staff work very hard to keep outdoor area clean , if wanting a sun bed by pools need to be up early as lots of people putting towels on them , evening entertainment mainly based at younger children , entertainment team work very hard. I've read some bad reviews and was weary but hotel is lovely, free 15 minute massage for adults , there's a few shops on the resort including a hair dressers and some clothing shops, a nail bar and a fish spa, would return again but not in August far too hot for us.

Beautiful Crete, lovely hotel just needs a better drink package and entertainment in evenings

Hi, I am back again having revisited The Royal Belvedere in Hersonissos, Crete. The room, food, location were very good as my previous review suggests but I would like to add a few points for those visiting this hotel .there has been a few improvements one being the addition of a decking area outside the restaurant so you can sit outside and eat al fresco, and table and chairs outside the piano bar.
Disappointingly though we found the soft drink and alcoholic drinks to be of very POOR quality, very watered down and soft drinks such as cola, lemonade all flat!!!No entertainment at night other than the entertainment team who worked so hard day and night, the entertainment was for kids really but there was absolutely nothing else for adults , such a shame too as they have a vast area to dance and socialise where the
piano bar is.
This is a lovely hotel , lovely friendly staff, good location , just hilly !!!, Malia beach is lovely give it a try about 10 mins on bus at bottom of road from hotel, 3/4 euros, beautiful seafood restaurant(Petalida) on sea front in Hersonissos and great cocktail bar (Nikis), same area, drinks
went down a treat 4.50 euros a cocktail ! if you go up the back of hotel through the gates that close at 2300, you will come to a small village I recommend you go visit beautiful tavernas, restuarants , definitely go on the pirate boat trip 35 euros get tickets from hotel beside Olympic pool, you will be picked up and brought back to hotel good wee day out, and star beach is at the bottom of road where there is entertainment for all banana boat bungee , pools foam parties, small beach shops tattoos bars restuarants .
lovely holiday great place just so disappointed with entertainment and poor drinks package if these improve it would put this hotel up another star I am sure, have fun but defo go to Malia beach turn left when you get to beach and walk along to where the sunbeds are in front of a beach restaurant in front of hotel they serve cocktails and this is where the beach sports activities are 3/4 euros a day for sun bed, have fun x
and shops

Good Value All Inclusive but be careful of the children's club

We stayed in mid May 2017.
Check in was pleasant and reasonably quick and we were given 4th floor room with a panoramic sea view which was unexpected to be honest but very welcome.
The room was large enough for two but quite tight for a family of four with a 4 year old and also a 6 month old with all the added travel gear you need for two young children.
The rooms were clean and serviced daily with clean sheets and towels almost on a very regular basis. The maids are brilliant.

Good was plentiful with a very wide choice serving all the nationalities using the hotel. Differing themes of food were regularly offered to ensure the differing nationals were catered for. On the whole the food is excellent the only issue for me is it could be kept hotter in the food service trays.
Drinks are available from self service areas with the all inclusive and are of reasonable quality. Bottled wine is available at an extra cost. The coffee machines were excellent but as usual a good cup of tea eluded us.

The pool areas are large and plentiful but sea water based and therefore colder than usual. Very welcome when the temperature is very high. They also get very busy around the children's pool so you need to be reasonably early to get a sun bed next to the pool. They are plentiful though.
The entertainment is repetitive and aimed more at the children who love it.
If you want quality adult entertainment this is not the place for it. They try hard but it was not exactly high class stuff.

If you have small children think twice about placing them in the children's club. The entertainment team provide this service and are not all skilled or suitably trained for it. Our 4 year old grandson walked off from the group to look for us all because he was bored and it wasn't noticed he had gone missing. Fortunately he found us very near by. How bad could that have turned out?

Apart from this incident which is totally unacceptable the hotel staff work hard for their guests.
Reasonable value for money for the food and drink. Cutting costs on staff capabilities is not acceptable.
Hotel and it's facilities are good.

We stayed two weeks and apart from the child club we enjoyed are overall stay.
