Pathetic Hotel, unprofessional staff.

Please do not go to this hotel. Our bitter experience starts even before we set foot on the property. When we booked this hotel through a website, the terms were that we can book it without any advance payment. So couple of days before booking we got a call from Mr. Nagraj to do advance payment. At that time we were at a place with internet connectivity, we asked him to send us the link through which we can do payment and that we will do part payment once we reach somewhere. We got no link and next day when we called to enquire, we were told that our booking was canceled because we didn't pay up. We got into a bitter argument because it is difficult to get a reservation in Kodai over a long week end. Anyways the manager agreed to provide us a room and gave us his personal account number where we had to transfer money.

It is a poorly maintained property. The room that were given was although spacious but it was poorly lit and was infested with houseflies. When we asked to get it cleaned we were told that it was because of fruit season and nothing can be done. The hospitality was such that no drinking water was provided to us which is a common norm even in the most basic of Hotels.

So my advise is, please stay away from this hotel.

it is true when people say dont believe everything they show on internet or on Travel website PHOTOS, i will let the photos explain

we were traveling form Munanr to Kodai (5 friends), around 5in evening we saw this hotel in booking.com, checked their photos on TA and quite impressed by the hotel, since all needed a nights stay thought this was worth the money so called up the hotel and bood two room, standard at 1100 an delux at 2100, two rooms

we again called up 1 hr afterwards to sya we will be late and manager "Tulasi" promised rooms will be ready

called again at 10 and spoke to hotel manager and he said he again confirmed our booking

because of new Terrain we took time to reach kodai and reached hotel at 12:30AM, and alas there was no light in front of hotel and door was locked from inside. after knocking many time we finally called they land line and could here it ringing and after a while a care taker in deep sleep opened door and said there is no rooms, since we were late they gave it ot some one else. it was 1 AM by now
finaly after a verbal combat he gave us two room in second floor.. please check photos
- Antique TV
- Dirty rugs, with layer of DUST
-No geyser
- No extra bed since they will come tomorrow afternoon
- No towels since they haven't got from washing

This hotel is nothing but a Lodge with may be 6 rooms and there no "ROYAL" in int except the Name

Rooms were like cottage we booked suite room and it was very attractive like its been decor by wooden work and plywood. There is room service but not breakfast included in room price but its very budget cottage in kodaikanal.. they offer best rate on online like food rates are also very less. overall compilation is nice nd calm place greenery pleasant weather awesome stay we had . Must visit once .

We spent last week end at this hotel.Rooms were clean and well maintained. Room service was good.Food served was homely and reasonably priced.In all good value for money. If we book on line it is totally hassle free..
I would recommend tonfamilies and couples as the location is quiet and plesant.

I had been to this hotel with my family (includes brother, sister-in law and my wife) for 4 days stay. Its an awesome place to visit with family and friends. Very good service, kind towards the customers. food is nice. room was neat & clean. Hotel is situated at a beautiful place. Quite calm and pleasant experience. Comfortable for Family to occupy. Overall Good Hotel to stay in Kodaikanal - Kaiser from Bangalore

Stayed here on 5th May to 9th May 2016.
