Hotel accomodation, restaurant, bar and spa were super - an English hotel at it's very best. Garden was delightful too.
A special mention of Jean-Marc the Head Sommelier, who was particularly helpful.
Wonderful return stay
JJ25on 19/08/2017 12:04We stayed at this gorgeous property 3 years ago and have been looking for an excuse to return.
We were upgraded to the duke of York suite which left us speechless for the entire stay - take a look at the photos, it was amazing. The room we had for our first stay was beautiful but this was stunning.
As always, the staff were wonderfully friendly while being professional. Dinner was a gastronomic treat and the restaurant manager, head sommelier and all the waiting staff were fantastic.
From the minute you are greeted by the concierge to the minute they wave you goodbye you feel very special in this unique property. Worth every penny. We will be back.
Lovely hotel but a few areas need working on!
CharPhoon 14/08/2017 22:03We stayed for one night and had a really lovely stay, we used the spa, and the room was really great and super clean. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were really attentive.
There were a couple of areas that perhaps could do with attention.
When you first walk in there is a desk which we waited at for about 5 minutes until another guest informed us reception is the next room in, not a huge complaint but you kind of expect to be greeted as you walk in, not have to wander through the building looking for reception.
The rooms have no fridge, again not a huge deal but cold water in the night would be nice and cold milk for tea and coffee would also be a benefit.
When we checked out in the morning we had another groups drinks added to our bill (good thing I checked!) the receptionist was brilliant and took it off straight away, just not what you expect from such a luxury hotel.
We asked if we could store our luggage for the day which was absolutely fine. However when we returned after a day shopping we found our luggage had been stored behind the concierge desk in the main foyer (which is not always manned, hence the 5 minute wait at check in) and had been left there all day?! Not secured or locked in anyway!! Then concierge took another persons luggage out to our car, which again was literally sitting in the lobby where every one walks in and out with a rucksack just sitting on top - free for the taking!
I would assume if you ask a hotel to look after your luggage they would lock it in a safe room for you, with tags so you know which bags belong to which person not just leave it in the lobby all day! Have to say I was quite disappointed.
A great hotel but definitely needs some refining!

Absolutely stunning building with very accommodating and friendly staff - suite was excellent, spacious and clean.
Food throughout was top notch and the service was exemplary without being pretentious - we had a very relaxed and happy time.
A wonderful afternoon tea!
Chantelle Bon 13/08/2017 21:25My boyfriend treated me to an afternoon tea for my birthday and I was extremely excited to learn we were going to be going to the luxurious Royal Crescent hotel! We were lucky enough to be able to sit in the garden which was just stunning you felt like you were in a country park not the centre of Bath. Service was top notch and everyone was very attentive. We even had 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate on my plate which was a lovely touch. We choose the Duke of York and Lady Elizabeth Montagu and both had the RC250 teas which was beautiful and we wish we had bought some! We opted for the champagne flight option which just added to the luxurious feel, we had a lovely waiter explain which champagne to have with what, we had a delightful afternoon being spoilt. Thank you for making it a birthday to remember! Highly recommended!!
