Just returned from a two week stay with my family aged between 70 and 9. Everyone had a great time. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The pool area is lovely plenty of sun beds. The kids enjoyed the water slides and the pier party was good fun. Have to say the rest of the evening and daytime entertainment wasn't really for us as we were just happy to chill out.
Food is lovely and plenty of choice as you would expect the buffet restaurant can get busy, it's just as shame that some don't know how to queue!! Waiters are friendly and helpful.
We went to the other restaurants and although I have never been to an all inclusive that charge extra for these, they were well worth the money. Especially the teppanyaki it was amazing, good food and lots of fun. Ice creams etc are served between set times, they also bring ice creams round in the afternoon which was a nice touch.
The shops in the hotel are very expensive but there are plenty more a short 10 min stroll away to buy your inflatables sun creams etc.
Some of the water sports can be expensive but we did enjoy the waterfalls trip.
Would def recommend this hotel.
Had the most amazing time at the royal holiday palace. The staff cannot do enough to help you! The food is amazing, so much choice every night and the many different a la carte restaurants to choose from! The entertainment staff were brilliant and worked hard to get everybody up dancing after putting on a show each night which suited everybody. The pool is stunning and more than enough sunbeds for everyone. We began our holiday before the schools finished so it was quiet when we arrived however even when the families started to arrive we didn't struggle to find a place. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are lovely. The entire hotel was very clean and tidy. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a 5 star luxury hotel!
Don't normally write reviews and take any notice of what's on them too much but we arrived here Saturday and first impression looking at the hotel was okay
It was midnight so went for something to eat in the bistro set down and they got burger and chips but sadly mine was still frozen in the middle you can except errors but even the role still ice cold I did mention it to them but they didn't seem to understand
On day one lie down and I silos and I will say there are plenty of them so not a problem to find one one of the spa salesman came round and we booked a package for €100 for me and my son and advise just pay when you go tomorrow upon returning to aroma couple of hours later the phone wouldn't stop it was the spa demanding payment and threatening there is a cancellation the general feel of the hotel is a bit aggressive but the staff which is disappointing as I stayed with this group of hotels before and I've always been great
When you have your breakfast or evening meal they don't come over to you and asked if you want to drink and if they do they just seem to have forgotten or just don't bother to bring it to you to be honest I'll be glad when the two weeks are over
Also we booked a Seaview yes I can see the corner of the sea but Unfortunately the Seaview is of the side of the Hotel next doors service entrance and rubbish as in my picture it's very noisy night and day
Excellent time we spent there. It was really relaxing. A week of no problems with meal, sleep or having a great time. Animation team do their best ... and were the best (Ira, Vika and others). Excellent meal, you found anything you want, also for kids; staff were smiling everywhere. Cleaning everyday in the room, at the beach and pool. Every evening we had an entertainment program. A great holiday.
Three generations of my family have just spent a week here.
There are lots of positives about the hotel...
*good location, about 25 minutes drive from Antalya airport (which was a complete cluster***k, but that's not the hotel's problem).
*pool area is great; our 15-month daughter had a blast. And, despite being 40, I still love all types of water slide.
*I thought the buffet was fine, maybe a little on the greasy side, but there is so much choice you can find something which suits
*room was large, well equipped, and (until the penultimate day) serviced well.
*you won't go hungry and/or thirsty, but the rota on food choices mean you do have to eat what they want you to, rather than what you fancy.
However, the internet is obviously not equipped to deal with the numbers staying there: fine early morning and mostly during the day; virtually unusable after 1900.
As happens in many 5* hotels, despite the fact you've paid whatever to stay, they are intent on "nickel-and-diming" you wherever possible. 15EUR for a shisha?? Extra charge for fresh juices? And as for the "mini-mart"... well... he's a bandit and i hope he ends up begging for scraps on the street (20EUR for a bog-standard bottle of Nivea SPF 20, kids' toys starting at EUR10)
I decided to downgrade my review from 4* to 3* based on a couple of incidents in our last 48 hours...
We found the wait-staff in the main restaurant to be perfunctory: service was OK, but then we tried tipping/bribing* (delete as applicable) them *before* service and the difference was AMAZING. I can accept that it's a different culture, but i prefer to tip (and I do tip, as appropriate) AFTER good service as a reward, not BEFORE just to get the service you expect. On our last day, a EUR5 tip had a waiter who'd virtually ignored us fawning over us...
We had two rooms, and asked for an extra two hours check-out on ONE of the rooms (my young daughter has a midday nap) but there was no flexibility. Of course; room-service will prepare both rooms at exactly the same time. No flexibility, no understanding.
But my biggest beef is with the "standards' the hotel claim to uphold. It is "highly" recommended that gentlemen wear trousers and shoes for dinner. But no-one enforces this. Let me state for the record I have no problem with tailored shorts and respectable sandals at dinner, but why ask for trousers if you're not going to enforce this? And please, please, don't let "gentlemen" into dinner if they're wearing wife-beaters, swimming-shorts and flip-flops.
Will we come again? Probably, if the price and transfers etc. are right. But it could be so much better.
