Try to get past the outward appearance
Manda Con 27/05/2017 12:32We arrived at our hotel around 9, where we were pleasantly greeted. The young man at the desk was very patient with us figuring out our cards (we have out of country cards). We were then upgraded to a suite with no extra cost on the first floor, and we also received​ a little welcome bag. The room is clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and we both slept very soundly. If we come back to the area we'll be staying again.
Comfy bed... midnight insanity
IndianaPrieston 06/05/2017 01:37Driving up, the place looked closed. The lobby was in disarray, though a sign asked for pardon given their remodeling. I was assisted by a friendly front desk staff member, so I was willing to be graceful.
After checking into the room, though, it was a mess. For a recently remodeled hotel, it looked horrid. My room had grafitti, rusted fixtures, scuffed up and broken furniture, and worn bedding.
Around 7 PM, I received a survey from Orbitz about first impressions. I shared, essentially, what I shared above.
The bed was comfy, so about a quarter till 11, I went to bed.
At about a quarter to 1, my room phone started to ring. Given the severe weather that night, I answered, worried it might be a storm warning.
It was a relatively young man who identified himself as either the owner or manager (I don't recall which), who was calling to discuss my complaints to Orbitz. Over the course of a ten minute conversation, I was basically told I was an idiot or a liar, that the rooms were all new, and was told that I was upgraded. Given that I had to be up at 6 AM, I was furious. It took me over an hour and a half to go back to sleep.
Orbitz never sent me a follow on survey (at least, not as of now, nearly a week later), but I will tell you now, I will never stay here again.

Never will stay here
Lsutgrson 28/03/2017 12:18My kids and I had a reservation to stay but we were in a serious car accident the night before our arrival. I called to cancel my reservation, from the ER, and was informed I needed to submit a waiver. I did but they still marked me down as a no show. So for that reason alone I'll never stay at this property.

charlestown983on 18/01/2017 11:23checked in yesterday. after checking into the room i was amazed. the room is clean and very well kept up. i am enjoying my stay here till thursday. the morning breakfast was ok not the best but satisfactory for the price cant complain
Just needed a place to sleep.
Glynda Hon 13/11/2016 18:10There was very easy access off of I-30. When we first drove up, we weren't sure what we were getting into because the outside is pretty old looking and a bit grungy. Felt the same way when I walked in to check-in although the receptionist was nice enough. It appeared that renovation was beginning. However, when we walked into our room, we had a pleasant surprise. It had obviously been renovated and was very clean and pleasant inside. Our stay was quite comfortable. The only complaint we have about our room is that, although the TV worked well and had a good picture on all stations, the only two channels that had a good picture but no sound was Fox News and Fox Business. That seemed a bit odd as though someone had messed with the programming. Oh well, at least we got a very good nights sleep!
